"Düdingen is nothing to write home about. However, it is home to Gasthof Zum Ochsen a traditional restaurant offering excellent food and great service. I sat in the upscale ‘’Salle à Manger’’ which boasts a cozy and pleasant atmosphere. A huge thumbs up to the lady owner and her team for the friendly and smiling service throughout the dinner. As I visited in September, the menu included many game and venison dishes. My dinner began with tasty homemade duck rillettes as amuse bouche. As starter I had the deer carpaccio served with truffles and gruyère: delicate and excellent portion. As main course I chose the deer filet mignon served with all the trimmings truly a highlight as it was very tender and came out as a generous portion! As sweet I indulged myself with a chestnut mousse served with cherry sorbet. On the downside Switzerland has always had a high price structure, and Ochsen is no exception. The bill amounted to CHF111 definitely not to everyone’s budget, but the excellent food and service are well worth it."

"Kleine einfache Karte mit Indischer- und internationaler Küche. Wir haben so richtig fein indisch gegessen. Chicken Biryani mit Grlic Naan. Ich esse nicht gerne scharf und meine Begleitung mag es sehr scharf. Wir haben beide unsere Gerichte so erhalten, wie wir es mögen. Zusätzlich gab es noch eine Sauce um nachzuschärfen, wenn nötig. Wunderbares Ambiente und das Essen sehr schön angerichtet. Wenn man kein Inischfan ist es gibt eine schöne Auswahl an anderen Gerichten."

"I highly recommend, impeccable restaurant. The cuisine is delicious, the dishes are tasty and the portions are more than adequate. The service was tip top, very pleasant waiters and waitresses, in short a service as we like it. I am going back there with great pleasure."

"Ich habe schon öfters eine Pizza oder einen Burger nach Hause bestellt und war immer zufrieden. Nun waren wir mal per Zufall in der Nähe und entschieden uns da zu essen. Das Essen war wie immer lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und ging auf unsere Wünsche ein. Das Restaurant ist klein, aber wirklich hübsch gemacht. Das einzige was mich gestört hat und deswegen gebe ich keine 5 Sterne, ist die Toilette. Sorry, aber ich habe schon Bahnhof Toiletten gesehen die sauberer waren. Das gleiche auf der Damentoilette, wie mir meine Frau bestätigte. Ansonsten waren wir wirklich zufrieden"
