"Came here as it was close to hotel and weather was not good. We thought we would get special service as it was a birthday celebration. How wrong was we. We were shown to our table very nicely. Ordered drinks but was frowned at...when asked if we could also have jug of tap water on the table we had also ordered bottles of wine for We also had some certain food requirements. When we asked if some things on pizzas could be swapped our male server said no. Also asked if one choice of pizza toppings could be made into a calzone to which he said no. So ordered what we could as we were hungry. The waiter was not very accommodating at all. He was more interested in his mobile phone. Also while we were waiting for food glass bottles were being thrown into a plastic box from the kitchen door and one piece of glass came near our table. No apology though. The two pizza chefs though were amazing and worked very hard behind the counter. While we were eating the waiter didn’t come to check if all was well we had to ask for the pepper mill for one of our pasta dishes to which he just plopped it on the table and did not offer any parmesan to us. If the restaurant had been busy we would have understood mistakes but it was very quiet. We paid our bill and left a tip hoping it would be shared with the chefs. One of the party said he put the tip in his own pocket. On our way out we thanked the chefs for there hard work and told them we would mention them in this review. Overall we did not get the service we was hoping for and will not return. A very expensive restaurant with poor front of house service on this night."

Called in as staying local in hotel. The wife does not like garlic. The girls front of house were great. Even getting the folder listing all ingredients in every dish to go through it with her. The food itself was good The customer service...was above and beyond.

we love pizza express and look forward to finding a place where our son lives. we sat outside in the sun, the service was amazing, eating was delicious and the place was busy. the personal is very attentive and the prices are on the expensive side, but it is worth it!

Customer service was excellent but the mediocre pizzas are not worth the money. Always used our tastecard here in the past which meant that the price paid equalled the quality of the food, now that they no longer take Tastecard it’s overpriced in comparison to...all the other pizza restaurants.

Interesting location to walk around and opposite a large square by the armouries. Location aside this is a pizza express and typically the pizzas are not up to much. Here the pizzas were average at best. But the score was held by an excellent tiramisu....Maybe a tiramisu and espresso on the patio is the thing to do in future.

We was in Leeds overnight and found this pizza express opposite royal armouries on the waterside area so sitting outside was relaxing. Staff friendly as we ordered a pizza to share in the afternoon as a bit peckish, we had the romana pollo forma which was tasty and enough for us both as a snack. Had a couple of soft drinks too to wash it down on this nice summers afternoon.

Not been to pizza express before. Was staying at holiday Inn for our anniversary and wanted to be near hotel this particular night was going mumtaz but closed Mondays unless we wanted to gate crash and Indian wedding.. Ordered basic pizzas and olives... So...was eating olives for minutes didn't make a fuss and the restaurant was quiet.. The food was lovely and not sure we be going again as the service was shocking the wait for the pizza was a long time.. Service not what I'd like to expect for paying the higher end of a pizza chain

eating was good, but overpriced. After we removed our plates from our main course, it took mins for our server to come to our table to ask if we like a dessert. at this point it was (we arrived and we were told that desserts were thrown away, as it was late now (we were tired of waiting for mins to get a dessert menu, we could have finished to this point). we have managed to order a fudge cake, and to avoid waiting further, we asked at this point to check whether a good note we would have worked. as we then ate our dessert staff, came and stood at our table with the card machine to get the voucher to work, and as soon as they had to pay the rest of the bill halfway through eating dessert. th...

travelling alone and sitting alone on the business can be best enough, in the last few months with COVID restrictions, this has not made easier, i.e. until I discovered this jewel. Actually, I didn't expect much from a typical chain restaurant to be open and was just enough. from the moment when I arrived this year on my first trip to leeds, I felt not only welcome or even appreciated, but as a customer really appreciated, but the personal here. I started traveling and eating alone can be unpleasant and often the personal will understandably prioritize larger tables about solo diners. I never get this feeling at pe in the docks, I feel as appreciated and as important as any other table, the...

"My son expressed his desire for a restaurant that wasn't too fancy or too casual. It's always a challenge to gather grown-up sons for celebrations when they are spread out, especially when you're unfamiliar with the restaurants in Leeds. After scrolling for hours and exchanging options, we finally settled on Gallery 41, which happened to have a 20% off deal on all food for certain days in November - perfect for N's birthday. After a long journey and a chilly afternoon at Kirkstall Abbey, we were ready to eat, and boy, did we eat well. The olives were a hit with my sons and husband, while the garlic bread was described as some of the best they'd ever had. The Skin Fries were a crowd favorite, so much so that we almost fought over the last ones. The main dishes were equally impressive, with the meat eaters raving about the Spiced Pepperoni and the Vegetarian option wowing my husband. I couldn't resist the Florentina pizza, a personal favorite of mine. Dessert was a hit as well, with everyone indulging in their sweet tooth. The atmosphere at Gallery 41 was perfect for our family gathering - quiet, cozy, and conducive to good conversation. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I look forward to returning with the rest of my family and indulging in more of Gallery 41's delicious offerings. In the end, it's the simple things like family, good food, and quality time together that truly matter. Thank you, Gallery 41, for a wonderful dining experience."
