"Plantagenet Tenby. A very classy quirky restaurant. A warm welcome by staff and glowing fire! Felt like you were entering a cosy home. Excellent service, with a lot of attention to detail throughout to make it a memorable evening. Chefs showcased the very best food. Garlic bread was the best I’ve tasted and the sea bass cannon lamb were simply stunning. Both meals were gorgeous and plenty to eat! Together with a chilled bottle of white white, it was awesome. We finished our drinks in the bar below after exploring this amazing historical building. Staff more than happy for people to see the building’s historical features. The restaurant has a reputation which the owners and team are all clearly eager to maintain. If you have the opportunity to go and eat there, do not hesitate !Thank-you team! Visited for dinner after a day out in Tenby. Interesting decor, reminded me of being in a haunted hotel. Either way the food was excellent although maybe a little expensive Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 View menu

Had an amazing meal last night. First time back in 20+ years! Lovely open fire and super atmosphere. Not somewhere you would go weekly, as was fairly expensive (but delicious). Will be going for our special occasions. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Seafood, Rack of Lamb, Atlantic Oysters

Stunning place. The barman was unbelievably friendly and welcoming, telling us the history of the building! The atmosphere was magical, sitting in front of the open fire made us feel very Christmassy. The food was amazing, I had the fish stew, it was that fresh it tasted of the ocean. 10/10 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Seafood, Fish and Chips View menu

Got to restaurant when it opened at 5:30 so was empty. Atmosphere with candles and dim light really nice. Ordered scallops and a soup with bread to start. Mussels were only warm and butter for the bread almost frozen so wouldn’t spread. I mention this to the staff when she asked but she just smiled and walked away. Had mussels to start which were delicious. Won’t go again because of the starters and the non responsive attitude of staff member Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Seafood

Had a lovely meal last night at this beautiful place, we had a late evening meal at around 6.30 pm. We had 3 young kids with us as well and the reception we received when arriving was lovely. The food was exceptional and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The ladies serving were so accommodating and polite. Only disappointing thing was we only had a little bit of cash to leave a tip as they don’t take tips on card which is understandable. Thank you for a lovely evening in the most amazing setting. This was a lovely start to our Christmas festivities. "Well first of all arriving to the hotel it looks like an average house with a lots of car park, apart from the sign on the side of the road that says Heywood Spa nothing special for a 4.6 star hotel. The stuff is absolutely amazing, feels like a family run “posh wannabe” hotel. We had the executive room (210), the double bed had 2 single mattress, ripped wallpapers, a really noisy old school A/C and a little TV like a monitor in the middle, shower has a really really poor water pressure, you have to be straight under it, the walls are very thin you can hear people sneezing 4 rooms next to you and hear people checking in the reception even though it’s pretty far away. The balcony had 2 metal chairs without pillows and a tiny table. The spa is another downside of the hotel as the sauna not working 5 years ago as seeing now the reviews, still not working, the hot tub has loads of chemicals in it it’s literally making a bubble bath into the pool after 10 minutes. Pool is very cold and pretty small as well as the hot tub. Once you finished you have to walk through the restaurant unless you’d like to use the changing room what is literally just a room with a lightbulb and chair, no heating or anything obviously.Restaurant and the bar looks nice but a Vodka/Coke ended up £8 and a Corona lager £5.50. The breakfast is pretty good if it’s included the £200 a night price but I definitely wouldn’t pay for it separately as you have many options in Tenby. The lunch is looking good but way over seasoned to make it look nice and it’s really not worth £25. Pasta one side of the plate was taste like English mustard and nothing else. The tip is 10% what is fair but I’d personally pay double tip for the service and half price for the food. You have many Italian restaurants for half a price with awesome food on the beach. This hotel is definitely not 4.6 star, maybe 3 because of the little Spa but way overpriced and overrated.I’m not being picky, but for £200 a night in one of Tenby’s most expensive 4.6 star Hotel people have expectations."
