"This was my first visit here in years and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, although my peas were a bit hard. This is more of a feedback than a complaint and it didn't spoil the meal for us. We would definitely come back again. It's great to see that despite being in a remote location, they have managed to survive the pandemic and challenges faced by the hospitality industry. Keep up the good work."

Excellent lunch meet at the Plough today. The food was very good, with an extensive menu, which I feel could be halved, but good quality. I recommend the garlic chicken in white wine sauce. Delicious! We will be back. : xx

Visited as a stop over in our Motorhome,we missed Sunday lunch but they put us up a take away which was excellent. We played bingo, watched rugby and chatted with the staff and regulars who couldn't have been more welcoming. Will definitely visit again. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 View menu

I always love going to this restaurant for Sunday lunch. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. Even when they're busy, they make an effort to accommodate you. The price per person is between £10 and £20. I give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect score of 5 out of 5.

"I was excited to revisit the New Inn after many years, as it used to be a favorite spot of mine. My group of 8 had pre-ordered at the request of the New Inn, but we were told 15 minutes after our booking time that our food was just being prepared. An hour later, our food still hadn't been served. After checking with the staff, the manager assured us that our order was next. Another 10 minutes passed before our food finally arrived. The gammon came with sides that we didn't like and were not mentioned on the menu. The portions were oversized, which was nice, but they were too much and off-putting. The salad trimmings were of poor quality. The fish in batter was enjoyed by those who ordered it. The main meals were okay, but I would have preferred better quality over quantity. We had to chase the staff for a glass of water, and even after being offered dessert menus, no one came to take our order. When we decided to follow up at the bar, the manager seemed more interested in finding out which staff member had failed to take our order than in solving the issue. The service was okay but could have been better, as no one checked on us after our meals were served. It seems like the staff could benefit from more positive training from a supportive mentor. When we asked for the bill, it took a while for it to be brought to us, so we ended up paying on the way out. It's a shame, as I had fond memories of the New Inn, but I am unlikely to return after this experience."
