"The food and service at this restaurant were both mediocre. We ordered a fillet steak cooked medium rare, but it was served well done. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, we received a dismissive apology and no offer to fix the mistake or refund the uneaten dish. We also had items missing from another main course we ordered. To make matters worse, we were contacted by the staff on our way home claiming we had underpaid, even though we had already paid the full amount of £115 as shown on the receipt. Despite a message sent via the app apologizing for the billing error and promising to relay our feedback to management, we have not heard anything further after over 24 hours. Overall, the meal was overpriced and the experience was disappointing. We recommend diners to avoid this place."

We had a wonderful dining experience at Hillthwaite. As soon as we entered, we were greeted warmly by the staff who interacted with our children and made us feel at home. The food was delicious and the kids menu was a hit with our little ones.
