"“I’m leaving this review simply for the staff, In hopes they can make a change and this place lives up to its high standards again!!!” Been coming here for years, Atleast twice a month and always order the exact same thing “Portland breakfast”.. the last 2 times I’ve been I have to say I’ve been very underwhelmed! Firstly I completely understand that food has become expensive and it’s difficult to keep the same quality of food for the same prices but Id rather pay that bit extra. The steak on the breakfast has changed to the cheaper option, disappointing as this used to be my favourite thing on the breakfast. The waffle is slightly over cooked and just crumbles. Tea is very cheap.. Glasses need abit of a better clean as they have a damp smell! Portland, your staff are lovely but please take note when there’s customers waiting at the door to be seating in a restaurant and the young lad is on his phone for 3 minutes not looking up to even greet us, it’s not a good look! Like I said I absolutely love Portland st so I’m going to give it one more go and hopefully my next visit wins me over."

Have not been here in years so decided to sit in and have breakfast. Hot chocolate was poor and tasted awful. Breakfast was flavourless and wasn’t worth the £45 bill. Will not be returning.

It was a little quiet, but mid afternoon , service was spot on. They made up a meal i requested for my elderly mother, which was not on their menu. Cannot fault them she thoroughly enjoyed herself so thanknyou so much. Highly recommended for a visit.

The Portland breakfast is my top recommendation- steak just right, tasty bacon, perfect poached egg, wonderful waffle in maple syrup and potatoes cooked just right! Good veggie choices too. Now my favourite breakfast near Penny Lane. Book ahead though they get busy! View menu

Food service were great. Had a chilled out atmosphere. The person serving us was really helpful friendly. I'd never had pancakes before and the ones here were amazing. They had a baby chair for my cousins little one baby changing facilities upstairs. Will deffo go back whenever I'm in the area 5*.

Took my son for some lunch I ordered the simple burger and he ordered chicken plus we ordered some salt and pepper mix dish I've never tasted food like it the burger was dry clearly one off last nights warm up the burger was also a single when ordered a double the share plate salt and pepper thing wasn't nice at all new I should off gone to the tavern across the road
