Portofino - Menu

All the restaurants , along this front have been closed due to flooding and relocated. There is a row of glass building under construction when we visited last week.

We had a great evening meal of quality Italian cooking at a very reasonable price. Very large portions, could not finish the main course having had the octopus to start, great wines and coffee

OK so this is not genuine Italian fare. Yes it's pasta and pizzas and other traditional dishes but it's not a gourmet experience. The portions are large but this does not compensate for quality. You will leave full but perhaps not completely satisfied! View menu

We were a group with a fixed menu. First came two slices of tomato and two slices of Mozzarella. That was called "Tomates mozzarella". Totally tasteless. Then came some undefinable pasta with ingredients none of us could identify. Halfway through it, blinking lights blinded us and loud music deafened us. We just left the pasta and hit the road, happy not to have to face the dessert.

We arrived and were met by a lovely guy but it went down hill from there we ordered the Veal Milanese which was over cooked and the moules mariner the moules were minuscule and the waitress tried to pass them off as a speciality then...when it came to paying the bill we waited an absolute lifetime for the waitress to stop ignoring us in the end had to forcibly interrupt her minute conversation with ladies next to us nice setting but won’t visit again.

Had a late lunch in this place we sat in the terrace overlooking the marina even though you can’t see much as the fence is high but still you have a nice view, the service was perfect they speak French English and Italian very helpful...and attentive, the food was perfect we had a canolli, sea food pasta and seafood resoto as for the desert we had the lightest cheesecake you can ever eat with fig jam and some chocolate, will visit again for sure. We took some friends from the US there... We were like ashamed how the service was.They provide tablets to look at the menu, but one of them didn't have battery. The restaurant was not crowded at all. The waitress didn't propose to have another one. There was oil underneath the tablecloth. Then we got apetizers and one of us didn't get any fork! We had to call her back (still not smiling) and she said we can have ham like that! We had to wait Too long to get the rest of the order and even for the check!! Never again!

We stopped here after looking at a few others, the menus was Italian but In English so helpful We were looking for a light lunch but got drawn on some amazing pasta, we were given complimentary bruschetta amuse bouche and served by a friendly member...of staff. Lunch was excellent and the wine perfect, we felt very welcome which isn’t always the case We are English but live in France so consider ourselves knowledgeable about what you can expect, we will return with friends next time probably for supper so I can eat some puddings !

Don’t go there on a special day, like Mother’s Day. Total CHAOS!! Understaffed, below average food, no customer service from owner despite furious customers threatening to leave without paying. Entrees arrived later, with missing key ingredients. Sent it back. No seasoning in salads. Surely...forgotten. We were still waiting for our mains at Forgot our order. My Mother’s main dish still arrived after mine, in which fish and veggies were literally thrown in. No dish presentation. Dessert platter from the menu was a selection tasteless bites.
