"Let me tell you as a Valencian who was born here, but raised in the UK fortunate enough to visit family in this gorgeous city twice every year... La Pergola is a Valencian institution. It was here before I was born. Its here to this day, and God willing, it will always be here. My grandparents ate here. My parents and their siblings ate here, and I will always eat here when I pass by or stay in the city. Now this isn 't some monologue of a review because this place is undeniably reliable and consistent. It 's because it does unwaiveringly great, fresh, homely food. Coming here for an Almorzaret (translation: better Valencia version of Brunch) or Lunch itself, is what 's this place is made for. The sandwiches are spot on, the starters are valencian staples, and the Cremaet (translation: God 's morning coffee) is one of the best I 've had. Sat outside in the Valencian sun, with nothing but a nice atmosphere with patches of refreshing shade, the location also is spot on situated on a walking garden strip. As for service, the people are absolute machines. For the amount of tables they turnover a day, both the kitchen and watering staff do a fantastic job. There 's no formal anglo typical line for you to stand at just have to let waitering veteran David that you 'd like a table, for 'X ' number of people, and wait. Don 't bicker. Don 't sit at a table you see empty. Don 't get annoyed at the wait times. Just wait because the casual and relaxed atmosphere you get in the end is worth it."

He ido unas cuantas veces a almorzar, y decir que en la terraza, al solicito ahora con este tiempo se almuerza de categoría. El bocata de la casa está brutal y la tortilla de patatas buenísima. Muy recomendable para pegar un bocado

Adeguata scelta di bevande, atmosfera conviviale e servizio cordiale. Olive e patate molto buone, da affiancare a una fresca cerveza. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo, soluzione ideale per chi vuole fermarsi e ritagliarsi un momento di pace nell'ampio piazzale all'aperto.

I was at la pergola for brunch today. Spanish call it almuerzo . This place is very traditional and its one of the best places to try the typical valencian boccadillos. We got boccadillos with calamari, with sobresada and another with roasted meat and cured ham . They were very tasty! Service was very good. This place its a good choice for people that want to try valencian boccadillos. I would suggest to go for brunch after a morning walk in the rio
