"This restaurant, under previous management, was one of our favorites. We would ski in, go to the self serve counter or get a hot chocolate at the bar, and have a great lunch. Today we learned the management, new management, has changed everything, for the worse. While the burger was honestly pretty good, service was arrogant, slow and unapologetic for mistakes. My son ordered a hot wine before we got there, and the said his credit card did not work, so we paid with another card only to learn late that the had nailed his card. For our lunch, the brought four of six dishes, but forgot the other two. We asked nicely for the other orders, but they said something happened, an without comment or apology bland it on the kitchen. The waitress said she was or responsible, and we wondered was anyone responsible. I then asked for the I'll, and she sneerly asked if I wanted to let my son eat his burger leisurely. By the time she brought the hill he had finished his burger and had time to rest,The service was so bad and arrogant it corses our minds that this was a money laundering operation. Do. It go to this restaurant unless you want to have your mood spoiled on a lovely sunny day."

Excellent lunch stop. I had lost a ski pole and the restaurant gave me a replacement. It was very kind of them. I recommend stopping here.

It’s great value and great food on the side of the piste with stunning views of the mountains. What more could you ask for? Very friendly staff and good service.

Quick stop for lunch, tasty freshly cooked food here, very large portions, sadly didn't have room for the good looking puddings. Have often skiied past here, but will make a point of calling again as it was all so nice in a charming rustic mountain...way.

Like most of these mountain restaurants food was poor and expensive.Burgers undercooked, hot dogs cold, but our veggie said nice pasta dish.chips seem cheap at €4 but small fast food style amount that's why.coffee ok as was hot chocolate .We didn't return.

We went there to have some hot drinks when skiing as the place is by the slope. We could sit in a deck-chair outside on the terrace and enjoy the sunshine. There were not many people as it was late in the afternoon, the service was quick enough though the latte macchiato was nothing special.

Visited again in April 2018 and the sun was shining, the steak was perfectly cooked very tasty and a reasonable size. Service was friendly and it was a wonderful long lunch in beautiful surroundings. This used to be a self service restaurant and looking at...older reviews I think they had a few problems the first season with full waiter service. But in 2018 I found it great for a lunch in the sun. Well recommended but maybe reserve in the busy part of the season rather than just rack up.

This place has a great sun terrace and very friendly owners. Food is savoyard and quite simple but fine for the mountains. The steaks are ALWAYS good here and a nice vegetable soup for cold days too. Downstairs is now a fast food snack bar...for those on a budget or in a hurry. Great location on Sitelle piste. They do superb croissants too at 10am straight out of the oven !! Great with a home made hot chocolate with the sun shining right on the terrace from Mont Vallon. One of our favourite coffee stops in the morning.

I'm always keen to try new places on my annual 3V skiing trip and the Sitelle had always been previously passed by at high speed en route from Platieres to Mottaret. So I stopped for an impromptu lunch when skiing alone one day. Approaching 2pm the place was virtually empty so finding a seat wasn't a problem. I ordered the diots (rustic sausages) from a somewhat surly and miserable waiter, which arrived with a curious cheesy lentil accompaniment which was remarkable for its utter tastelessness. I never usually add salt to meals but this was an exception, just to get some kind of flavor into the dish. Sausages were OK, but for a total of 37euros including a 1/2 bottle of wine it was bordering...

Don't go here expecting to eat any time soon. Service is chaotic (probably stemming from the boss rushing around telling the staff to stop doing what they're doing and do something else) and you may need to physically interpose yourself between a sever and their wandering target.Once your food arrives it is ordinary. nothing particularly wrong with it, but nothing to write home about. And at 20 euros for the plat-du-jour lasagne and a few lettuce leafs you won't feel you got your money's worth. The location, on the other hand, is ideal and probably the restaurant is resting on its laurels from having a captive audience scooped up from half of the Mottaret runs with zero competition. If you ca...
