Good cooking, hearty plates. It's a pity that we had the impression that all customers were messing with the servers.

Very good bistro, room/terrace staff was very jovial. In addition that the dishes were really good, a very good price ratio and the portions are generous. The meat lovers will like it!

12 € une assiette, rôti de porc salade frites. Copieux.. La serveuse est souffrante, je la plains.. Travailler pour gagner sa croûte... Une pause dans ce vieux quartier de Bourges.. Parfait !

This was probably my fourth or fifth visit to this restaurant in the past years. Never disappoints. Wonderful meat every time! Great friendly chef. Entry pate is tasty Meat cooked just right. I recommend

Very good meat restaurant. The dishes are generous and the excellent chocolate mousse, all in a very nice atmosphere. We had a very good night, thanks to the whole team! (and the hotel that advised us to go)

This bistrot/restaurant is among my favorite addresses in Bourges, and very far. The kitchen is excellent, whether meat, potatoes or wine, and the family atmosphere is always lovely. A little extra smile on the face of the waiters and this restaurant would deserve 20/20!

Having had several gourmet meals we needed something informal and found it here. Excellent salads and superb steak! We shared the chef's salad as a starter (a good move as the portions were large) and followed this with a magret de canard (rosé) and an entrecôte steak (seignant) which was cooked to perfection. A reasonably priced bottle of Reuilly was an ideal accompaniment. All in all a great find!

The restaurant is in a great location near great pubs and with loads of people out enjoying themselves. My experience was not great. I did not think all elements of the dishes worked. I found the comfit duck strange and unpleasant and I don't think cold water melon with warm suckling pig worked. The atmosphere is ok but too dark - we needed a torch to read the menus . The service was excellent. It pretends to be better than what it is and is just too expensive. The toilets are not good and influence the experience negatively.

This was just what we were looking for; a decent dinner of no nonsense food and a decent beer. Sitting outside on a Friday evening in June. A great choice of beers and food ordered from the chalkboard menu by the entrance. This restaurant is not pretending to be anything it isn’t and it is so much better for it. The entrecôte was cooked to perfection and was a decent size. The duck was simply enormous and cooked well. The highlight though has to be the fries. Imagine crisps really thickly cut, and I mean really thickly cut and then fried as chips. Ruddy marvellous!! Not bad value at €70 all in including drinks. I’d recommend it.
