"Plenty of customers (we visited at a lunch time), good sign, could take our dog in without any problem, great. Really enjoyed the food, they have a speciality that is giant chicken or beef kebabs on the biggest skewers you 've ever seen which have to...be put on a stand in the middle of the table, they come with a choice of side dish, they went down very well with everyone, a wow factor for sure, saying that, lots of other choices too, eg I had a 'posh ' jacket potato with salad and all the dishes seemed to be done with care and well presented. They seemed to have a Basque link, I think some of our group had beer from the region and the ladies kirs had many creme option, I can personally recommend rose, Violette and strawberry flavoured kir! When the restaurant got slightly less busy there was more time for the staff to interact with their customers. Nobody could manage a dessert, we were all too full! Nice decor too!"

the owner is so rude that he can even make the facial expressions of behind a mask.... average food desserts better described than gloomy would seem they prefer less business they should be careful what they want.

We arrived to this restaurant since this was the only option close to our hotel. We were accepted even before the opening time, this way we could escape from the very cold weather. The service and the food was correct, our group ordered all the...different meals from the menu, and everybody was happy at the end.

we chose this restaurant online, from pf many available in fougeres because the menu looked interesting. the food was good, but the reception was inhospitable. we had to wait 45 minutes before we even offer the menu and a carafe water. we had waited for our food for a long time. the chefpatron is surly, rude and unfriendly.

we, three couples, were there to eat, it must be a popular, well accepted eating in the city as it was pretty busy. I tried either the choice of the mainbeef, the Irish option or the black angus, but none was available. I chose a...XL cut that was on average in quality and preparation. the most disappointing was the rough and negative attitude of the lady owner. would not recommend le st. leonard.

We had booked ahead but omitted to mention that 2 of our party were vegetarian. This caused some consternation with the owner/manager and, although both veggies were happy to have a salad or omelette, this hiccup got us off on the wrong foot. When the...food came, it was great: thoughtful, nice flourishes, very filling. The wine was excellent also. Just a pity that a bit of a sour taste lingered throughout the meal.

we arrived early so no problem with service. we sat near the fire and saw the cooking kitchen, he was friendly and everything looked great. I recommend something cooked on the grill, eating was faultless. the basque gâteau for dessert was a winner than...well the house wine left a little to wish, but had not influenced the experience. very happy overall, and the prices were very reasonable. 40€ for 2 nets, 1/2 l wein and 1 dessert.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is good and the young waitress who served us was very efficient. Menu price reasonable. However, when we entered the restaurant and asked in for a table for 2 the manager/owner looked at us with a strong lack of interest...but we decided to still eat at this restaurant. Food was warm (not hot) but ok, service good but on leaving and paying the bill the manager/owner stared at us with no smiles as if we were aliens !! Apple pie and ice cream delicious.

We had not booked a table and as this was one of only a few restaurants open on a Sunday lunch time we were not sure we would be able to get in as it was very busy. However, we were welcomed in and given...a nice table. We had the giant brochettes which were fab. The service was good even though the restaurant was busy. We had not read any reviews prior to eating in this restaurant but would definitely go with the majority as we really enjoyed our meal. The waitress also made a really big fuss of our friends dog bringing her a bowl of water before we left.

After several days of indifferent French food French in shoddy French restaurants we found this gem. Forget the aforementioned reviews about anglophobia. The proprietor is a proud Basque who probably does not even like the French! The Biarritz rugby shirt behind the bar gives all...the necessary clues. The food reeks of the wonderful south west. Huge 'rugby ' portions. Hearty cassoulet with 'tres fort ' Cahors which filled me up so much i couldn 't face petit dejunner next morning. The proprieter is a character with lots of gallic gestures; I am upset that my fellow countrymen and countrywomen do not 'viva la difference ' Go there hungry and have fun!!!
