"Leaving Dover, after disembarking from a cruise up the Norwegian Coast at 8.30 am, we arrived at our Paris Hotel, via Heathrow, at 7.15pm feeling a little frayed around the edges. After settling in to our room and with light rain falling we went around the corner to the Restaurant Rivoli. The World Cup was in full swing and we were seated away from the Big Screen and the fans. We started with a beer and cocktail and studied the menu. We shared a dozen Escargots as a starter and we both had the Beef Rissole topped with a Fried Egg and French Fries. This was just what we needed to forget the journey to Paris. On our last day in Paris we had a simple lunch of a Tuna Baguette again accompanied by French Fires. This restaurant is located on the very busy Rue De Rivoli but inside it was a haven and very friendly. It's clients appeared to be a mix of tourists and locals who were served good food at a reasonable price."

It was alot better than we had expected. The soup was very good, and they offered the French special bistro foods with relatively good quality. There was a comfortable unhampered feel to the place.

Stopped here for a quick meal at the end of an exhausting travel day. The food was just okay-- a croque-monsieur on what seemed like Wonder Bread and a sandwich. Nothing special. It seems to be a place for large groups to eat quickly.

A nice break during our sightseeing tour. Very good food and excellent wine. Crowded street, vehicles and pedestrians everywhere, Very close to the Tuileries, the Louvre Museum, the Place of Concorde, Champs Elysees, etc. A taste of Paris on the first day of our tour. Good service.

We were quite exhausted from our sightseeing that morning and we before we were to take on the Louvre, we wanted a nice place to rest and eat. It is very well located across from the Louvre, with open windows to the street, but not too busy. I have a good penne with tomato sauce and basil, nice simple fare. We were all happy with our meal, it was well priced, and the service was friendly.

This is a great "eat-and-run" restaurant on Rivoli street --specially if you are around the Louvre, Concorde, Tuileries etc. As a self-serve eatery, you can easily choose the combination you want. The choices are many, which is helpful if you are a vegetarian, as they have a wide array of vegetable dishes and fresh fruit. One can choose from a small or large portions which are priced accordingly. The service is good, and although it is a busy restaurant, it is clean and well-kept!

If you only want to eat, without expect any especial thing, this is your place. Good quality, cheap and good atmosphere. Every dish costs aproximateli 9.00 euros and the food is good. This place is perfect to make a stop and to eat hot dish, without stress. The ubication is perfect. Is in front of the Louvre, in the Rivoli street. To sum up good food, good price, good ubication. If you are looking for a romantic place for it, obiously this is not your place. For a city break is perfect.

One of the problems of eating in France is that it can take hours. When you are trying to see as much of Paris as possible, taking hours to eat isn't something you usually want to do. This restaurant is really a cafeteria. Go through the line and pick out what you want to eat. The place is clean and there are bathrooms that you can use too. It is a block away from the street from the Louvre. This is not fine dining, but if you need a quick place to grab food and use the bathroom, this is a good option.

After visiting the Louvre Museum, my travel companions and I went to Restaurant Rivoli on Rivoli St, right behind the Louvre, the restaurant is further up in the Rivoli St though. The location is really good if you decide to continue your Paris tour further to the Tuileries Garden and then the Concorde Square and further up to Champs -Elysees St.It is a kind of self-service restaurant where you choose a menu from two choices, budget and luxury. The former is around 11 EUR for which you get to choose a small salad and a hot dish and a small dessert. As for the drink you will have pay extra charge depending on what you choose to drink. In the latter, the choices are almost the same but in slig...
