"On a busy Sunday in Lewes, we discovered a light, airy, and peaceful cafe. The food has always been good, and during this visit I enjoyed a soup with sourdough toast. The soup was tasty, but the toast resembled white sliced bread rather than sourdough. When I asked the young man serving us about this, he insisted it was sourdough from a well-known baker, although I had my doubts. Despite a slight delay in receiving menus, the service was friendly and efficient. It would be nice to have a jug of water available instead of just a glass of tap water. Although the young staff seemed a bit bored, I would still revisit this little oasis of calm that offers good food at a reasonable price."

We stopped for afternoon tea, attracted partly by the outdoor seating and partly by the range of cakes. The cake was good. The coffee was a bit weak for my taste.

Very professional service, very clean and large portions. I had a coffee and cheese scones, the portion was two! This coffee shop has been here many years and has obviously got the right mix as others come and go. If your in Lewes definitely worth...a visit.

Popped in with my dad early on a Wednesday morning. The staff were energetic, helpful and welcoming. On top of that the full English was absolutely fantastic. Great quality produced cooked to perfection and all at a very modest price. Can’t wait for my next...visit! View menu

My sister, her husband and I popped in here for a morning coffee. It was very clean, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the coffee was superb. In addition to all that, the prices were very reasonable, and I will definitely use this place...again when in the area.

As always made to feel very welcome and star service. Our lunch was plentiful and delicious all hand made on the premises. Millionaires shortbread was just sumptuous could have eaten more and the banana/white chocolate cake yum! The perfect place for...lunch/tea and all priced very reasonably. Highly recommend.

this morning I popped in with my son for a coffee, and was tempted by the Full English Breakfast on the menu. Wow! this truly was the works, delicious sausages, bacon tomatoes, mushrooms, served with baked beans and a fried egg plus toast. The prices...are very reasonable. Staff very friendly and attentive. Nice decor, with a nice little patio to sit out for some fresh air.

We stopped by for a late lunch and were pleasantly impressed. We decided to order a brie toastie and a sausage toastie on granary bread, which we shared. The sausages were tasty, and the melted brie was perfectly toasted and served with a side salad. The mustard was served from a jar with a spoon, a nice touch. The service was efficient, despite the busy crowd, and the tables were kept clean. The prices were reasonable, and we would highly recommend this place without hesitation.
