"we are always happy to be in the restaurant rosengarten in affoltern am albis. besides the charming, very nice and personal service, especially the price and the performance of the service are also right. From finest pizzas and the classic Italian pastage to the good-bourgeois kitchen, it tastes just delicious. the wine card is clear and is constantly supplemented. from wallis to Austria to Sicily, the wine selection offers to everyone something that fits the dressed. no place for bordeaux or Burgundy freaks. reel drop to good prices. andy"

we are happy to lunch in the rosengarten, family atmosphere, very friendly service, also by family members. you can eat in the “simplified” part or at the back in the white-covered part. eating is always very good, in summer my favorite is the “Füürwehrsalat” is simply super! it is also possible for business events.

we are each 5 men and go 2-3 times a year in the rosengarten to cone. Before that we eat in the seääli (white covered) or in the restaurant front. the menu offers a good cross-section and Italian specialties. the portions are right and the wine card also offers a great selection and very moderate prices. we enjoy it every time in the rosengarten and like to come back.

when you get to the restaurant from outside (70s baustiel,) you don't know what you expect inside. inside it is divided into different spaces. so you can choose how noble it should be. villagebeiz or bankett. eating is not of the star kitchen but very good for the price/performance ratio. the service is partly composed of family members and is very accommodating. I always like to go there.

"I ordered 4 dishes online about eat.ch early enough as I had a friend to lunch and we both love Malaysian/Asian/Chinese as we both have the half malay. I saw the reviews and was excited when I gave up my order and made sure that I could please enter sharf in the special request column where I know how bland most really spicy dishes are served in the Swiss. the food arrived on time and was nice and warm when we unpacked it. my first bite of the Satay chicken was hit with complete disgust, as it was so watery and salty, I couldn't even swallow it. there was no other taste just salt and watered liquid, which seemed like diarrhea. my friend tried the panaeng curry, the bark was tender, but it was impossible to eat as it was super salty and also had no other flavors...not a chili before place or taste. I tried it and 15 minutes later, I had gone through. the chicken satay curry thai style was just as bad...super salzig, no actual peanut flavor and only a waterproof chaos. a bit full and I just threw it out. that was by far the worse Thai food I've ever eaten. what is insecure to me that I have placed the order early enough so that they have checked how spicy I wanted to eat when they were insecure and why have a special request section if this is not read? the chef really needs some proper cooking classes, clearly this is one of the Asian restaurants that have deceived people with watered salted food. we have all been together and demanded that they gather and refund her....what to see is whether there is any answer. bad eating will find bad service - it usually goes hand in hand with such places from my experience. overpriced getaway to the toilet in a round."

"As previously mentioned, I 'm American. We pride ourselves on our steaks, hamburgers, etc. Meat, in general, is something we tend to love. Even after almost a decade in Europe, I crave a good steak once in awhile. Sadly, Germany (our previous home), has not so good beef as it tends to be tough and small. We 'd had numerous people mention the Restaurant Bahnhof and it 's crazy busy almost any time you pass by the place. It 's directly across from the Mettmenstetten Bahnhof so it 's really hard to miss. The place is very nicely decorated in and out. The use a real grill set up indoors and out in the open where everyone can see it. Our reservation was for 19:30, so, when we walked in it was the tail-end of the mid-week dinner rush. The place, as usual, was full. We were quickly seated and the waitress came and gave us menus, a suggested wine list and asked (in brutal Schwiezer Deutsch) if we 'd like an Aperitif. We had to question her a couple of times what she was asking but we got it, finally. My wife and I chose different cuts of beef from their menu which offers multiple types of meat in gradually larger cuts. They also have fish, salads, etc. Everything seems to come Ala Carte but at least that way, you get exactly what you want. My wife chose a 200 gram and I a 300 gram cut. I also asked for a baked potato and she, the grilled veggies. Our drinks came along with a glass of wine for each of us and we were off and rolling. Not long after, our food arrived and it was perfectly prepared. We 'd both asked for medium-rare and it was exactly that. My potato was large and covered with herbed sour cream and my wife had a large plate of veggies. He happily munched away until we were both pretty stuffed. However, I wanted to try their deserts. The thickly accented waitress brought us desert menues (they have half a dozen deserts and a few types of ice cream and sorbets). I chose a Vanilla ice cream dosed in Jack Daniels. When it came, the waitress brought the bottle of Jack and poured it over my ice cream. I have to admit, I 've never been a fan of American whiskey so it 's my fault but I 'd kind of thought the ice cream would cut the sharpness of the whiskey leaving a nicer flavor. It was 'my favorite '. Again, my fault, not theirs. When the bill came, we were both a bit surprised (yes, we 're new here). In the end, for the small-ish meal and no bottle of wine, the bill tip came to about 200 Francs. OUCH! We 'll go back again, but it 'll definitely be a 'special occasion ' sort of place for that kind of money. Hey, I have a really nice grill at home. I just need to find the meat and potatos to put on said grill. The last couple of thoughts. It 's loud in there... the walls are brick and concrete and there 's nothing to muffle sound. Be warned. It 's also quite warm due to the big grill and the large number of people. Lastly, they seem to stop serving early. I believe that our meals were some of the last of the evening and we were served before 20:00 so plan to be there early."
