"For the first night of my stay in Berlin I decided to not go very far from my hotel in MItte to have dinner and I came across this restaurant caller Rosmarin just in front of my hotel. I thought it was an Italian restaurant, I took a look at the menu and went inside. The atmosphere was not bad at all, a couple of table were occupied, low volume music and candles lighted up to give a cozy felling. The design didn't quite match an Italian style restaurant but me and my boyfriend we let the food talk as always. We ordered a focaccia with rosemary and that one was fresh and also well cooked, kinda crisply and salty at the right point. We also ordered the Salmon carpaccio, terrible idea. The salmon was deeply oiled and they put a huge amount of sauerkraut sauce. Since when salmon and sauerkraut go together?Also, sauerkraut do not exist in Italy on top of a salmon carpaccio. It costed a lot for a starter and it was not good. After that our mains came, I got the filled gnocchi, I think they were good except for one thing, I hate beetroot and they were made with a beetroot sauce, not mentioned in the menu. My boyfriend got the risotto pescatora, the rice was overcooked, there were just 4 small pieces of seafood and a huge amount of cherry tomatoes ( never seen cherry tomatoes in a pescatora risotto). When we asked for the check they took a lifetime to give it to us. We were paying and after the waiter gave us the receipt she kept for a couple of seconds our change as in to say "What are you not leaving any tip?" and it was so rude that probably that was the worst part of our dinner there. We left and we were starving.. absolutely NOT recommended if you are looking for an Italian restaurant."

Cheap decor. Waiter was clumsy but that can be forgiven. Cannelloni was cold. Sent it back. It was so dry and tasteless. Salad was drenched in dressing. I will not be back.

We ate there lunch. Food was excellent an price was 30 € for a pasta, a large pizza and white wine and a large beer. Its in the middel of the centre, perfect I come here again on my next visit

We had a very nice time at the Rosemarin restaurant. The food was very tasty and the service very friendly. They allowed us to split the bill, which was very friendly. It was great quality for the price we paid and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!!

We went for a dinner because we love Mediterranean cuisine and the restaurant looked fine. The weather was beautiful, so we decided to sit under the trees. It was almost empty, which is suspicious by itself - there were about 10 people, only two tables inside and one outside were occupied.The waiters were chatting and laughing inside and for 15 minutes no one even cared to come and take our orders.So, we left never to come back. Next to us another couple did the same.A restaurant surely to avoid while in Berlin.

My partner's meal was lovely but I did not have same experience. My order was wrong, which can be forgiven given the language barrier. After 20 minutes, I received my order, lasagne. It was cold around the edge and lukewarm at best in the middle. I did not bother sending it back as I was really hungry. The lasagne was also really salty. Not good.However, my partner's food was absolutely delicious. They have a good selection of drinks and a lovely decor. I think it's just a place that can be amazing or rubbish, pot luck I think.

Being English it is not like me to complain, but after receiving my Caesar salad with under cooked chicken twice, I did question the waitress when she asked for the full price for a meal I couldn't finish. I was upset because I didnt want to cause a fuss. Nevertheless I paid the full price as being a waitress myself knew it may not havee been her making the final decision. As a result, we did not return during the rest of our trip, and encouraged others to do the same. It must be said, 2 other people said their pasta dish was "the best thy had ever had"- so hopefully it was just bad luck!
