"It is of no surprise that occupying Salt's kitchen is a former chef of some of the world's top restaurants. Salt was from top to bottom- fantastic. The service was excellent and extremely personable, and the dining room boasts a laid- back atmosphere. Irritatingly my lunch partner was almost an hour late. Upon informing the staff about my friend, I was taken care of immediately and offered a wine list. The waiter even came around to see how I was managing my wait. The house white was the second to best I've ever had. The starter was intricately decorated with an array of foliage, and capitalized on each herb's unique flavor. The main was a beautiful fish dish laid in a smokey creamed eggplant sauce accompanied with grilled fennel (best fish I've ever had). While desert was a decorated shortcake. Having read an interview given by Salt's head chef, Daniel Morgan, he explained that often they do not add sugar to their deserts and pick the greenery themselves. The kitchen heeds to the natural flavors of each ingredient used, which was felt and appreciated. It was an exciting experience awaiting each dish at Salt, for one after the other was excellent. This is truly a quality establishment and it is incomprehensible to me that anyone would disagree."

Stunning amuse bouche. Excellent starters. Main dishes unfortunately not just as pleasing. Cheese and deserts very good. Good wine choices and excellent local beer. Attentive helpful staff. Well worth a visit.

What happened to this restarant?!! It was amazing and now, the previous chef left, the foods are not like those pictures anymore and the price is still the same. I can not believe this happening. I am uploading some pictures to show how different it is now. It is not only the plating, the flavor? ... I don't want to insult them anymore.. will never ever go to salt again!! View menu

I have viisited Salt at several occasions and was very impressed with their lunch time menu. This time I booked for a special evening with people who liked their food. So it was a disappointment when two of the courses were oversalted, and one had was not salted. The combination of ingredients also lacked cohesion. Many different ingredients not making the whole coherent. A last remark, the portion of the main course. We received a piece of meat, the size of which was about 3 cm2.... The clients next to us, got a double portion.... My guests and I were disappointed...

What a gem this restaurant is. Located within easy walking distance of Paris'main tourist attractions this fine dining experience for weary (especially Aussie) travelers in search of a sublime eating (and drinking ) experience is a must. Our Sydney born hostess made our meal even more enjoyable and her recommendation of what wine to drink with each course made our experience even more superb. The food was great - entree of mussels in a curry sauce, main pork with mixed veg and for dessert carrot cake and a cheese platter - my simple description of this gourmet delight does not to it justice ! Can't wait to go back ....

We visited this restaurant on the last Saturday of July. When I booked, I was told very honestly that in August the restaurant would becolme a wine bar and that on the last July Saturday the cooking was "simplified". Indeed only a rather small number of rather small dishes were served and we shared many of them. Several were interesting but more original than really outstanding. The chocolate dessert was in my opinion a total failure; the cook forgot that a chocolate dessert must primarily be a dessert and not be devised to get a prize of originality. Service was very helpful, amiable and efficient and I am inclined to return on a normal September lunch or dinner. View menu

The four of us had dinner at Salt tonight and it's great.Super tasty food with lots of different saveurs to explore and great service . The wine a Malbec was good and reasonably priced . We had three different starters from mussels in cucumber to "fleurs de courgette " with shrimps and some various pre starters with monk fish , gazpacho, duck heart. The main course was great and we had Pidgeon with a fantastic sauce with "reglisse" ...Two deserts at the end one with carrot ice cream and the second one based on cream sorbet and calamaris ink sorbet and fennel seed cookies... All reasonably priced and a super service . We sat at the centred "high table" and had a very nice and tasty evening!Th...

We found this place on a list of up and comming restaurants. It is owned by Gary, a London mate. The chef is also English, having worked in Scandinavia for a while... and it shows as the menu is very Scandinavian in its approach. It is a tasting menu, no à la carte options. We started off with a dumpling of red fish, duck hearts, monkfish cheek fritters and a glass of tomato-strawberry gaspacho. All were very good. Then came the zucchini with its stuffed flower. Very good too.For mains, we had the choice between pigeon (breast and a leg) or merlu. We each had a different one and both were delicious. After the fact, we both would have chosen the pigeon though. Then, the highliht of the night, the...
