"This restaurant is on Passeig Juan de Borbon on Barceloneta which a street filled with touristy seafood restaurants, all with greeters trying to usher you in. This is normally a big warning sign, but my friends and I ended up being very pleasantly surprised by our meal here. We all ordered from the Menu Del Dia three courses and a large glass of wine for €11.90. I started with the Chocos Fritos, fried cuttlefish it was decent but not enormously flavourful and I had hoped for more from this dish. My main was the arroz negro a seafood rice dish coloured and flavoured with squid ink, and this was absolutely delicious. I had never tried this dish before, but I'll definitely be having it again. The rice takes a very pleasant seafood flavour from the ink, and the seafood that was cooked in with it all tasted delicious. I took a slice of watermelon as my dessert, and it was exactly what you'd hope for, fresh and full of juice. The white wine that washed the food down was very good also. Service was excellent our waiter especially had a very friendly and welcoming personality. We dined outside, and there's a very lively atmosphere all along this Barceloneta street. I really enjoyed my lunch here, and you just can't beat it for value. I would be more than happy to dine here again."

The worst paella, the worst starters, the worst fish ever eaten... Paella is like mortar/cement, heavy and without flavour or taste... Very expensive! ! ! BAD BAD BAD

The food was very tasty and the staff was nice. On my main plate I ordered a grilled fish, and it came half of it open. The desert wasn't very good. I liked it overall, but did not love it. Is a good price.

The Restaurant looked quiet when we went in. I agreed as it looked a Good Fish House near the sea for my Wife who Loves Fresh Fish, She was not dissapointed. I was surprised how exceptional my Meat Dish of Lamb was in a Seafood Restaurant. Not the Cheapest but never complain if the food is exemplory. View menu

We were walking down the street along the marina and checking out the many restaurants in the area. I'm usually a little hesitant to dine at a place that has someone out front working the crowd on the street but I'm glad I changed my mind. The food is wonderful. The staff is excellent. And I was amazed at how low the bill was.

Usually I don't trust restaurants near turist destinations (this one is nearby the marina, Barceloneta, and near the beach) but this one is really worth going. I went there with a friend of mine and we took menu del dia for € 10 or 11. It consisted of bread (warm and probably homemade), two plates, dessert and beverage. They have great paellas and arróz negro. The price is VERY reasonable and the food tastes delicious. As a beverage you may have wine.

I think this restaurant is a good option for eating near the Barceloneta beach. Before we ordered we got some drinks on the house (which I thought was a nice idea) ... food came quickly and the price quality area ratio is very good. We ate pizza, mussles, and great fry a plateau with sea fruits and we all enjoyed our meals until one of the persons at the table found a hair on her calamari and that was grose .... Also one of the persons at the table ordered pizza, desert, a coffee and the waiter was exclaiming wowwww which I don 't think it 's ok since she was a girl ... that made her feel a bit uncomfortable not sure what his wooow really meant... We were looking for a place to eat dinner around 7:20 pm while visit Barcelona port area in April 2015, we found this restaurant Sapore di Mare offered Menu of the day for 11.49 Euro pp which offered 3 meal courses, more than enough to feed one person Appetizers offers Sea food salad or soup of the day or fried calamari ... Main course offers as I remembered there are several choices Dessert offers ice cream or flan or cake including drink beer or soda or wine plus water if asked Service was excellence and they even offered champagne while we ate our appetizers for free. There are many restaurants along the road but this one offered reasonable price and many choices for Special of the day me...

Normally I shy away from restaurants with pictures of food advertising each dish on the menu but I'm so glad I didn't let this put me off! I've now eaten here three times during several visits to Barcelona and have had great food each time. The chicken paella takes a while to arrive as everything is made from scratch but it's worth it as it's pretty delicious! The only confusing thing we have found and why it's taken me a little while to write a review, is that the name of the restaurant these days is Sabor de Mar rather than Sapore di Mare. No idea why the name change or indeed why it happened but nontheless it's a good place to eat! Don't be put off by the fact it has someone standing outs...
