"Tourists in Palermo by chance we find this place near the hotel... Truly a stroke of luck!!! Everything is delicious from the appetizer, the caponata, up to the first courses with a divine pasta with sardines... The atmosphere is rustic like an old-time trattoria and this doesn 't hurt because it goes well with the menu and with the mission of the place to bring in the dishes the poor cuisine of tradition but which in reality is not poor in taste at all. The service is attentive and kind. I remember a young girl with glasses and long black hair who looked after us very well. Then the place filled up with local people, which confirmed to me that the place was truly a gem and not the usual tourist restaurant, and everything became more chaotic but it 's normal I think...Thank you for the delicious lunch and for the memory of Palermo that you left me!! I hope to come back soon!"

An excellent restaurant: brilliant food, based on Sicilian tradition and 'cucina povera ' I believe). Very friendly and welcoming service.

Ristorante piccolo e carino in centro a Palermo. Abbiamo mangiato bene. La grigliata di pesce era molto buona. Personale cortese e disponibile.

Original flavors of our traditional cuisine, but the dishes are not burdened by too many ingredients. The starters, first and second courses with fish are excellent, and the desserts are good; The service at the tables was courteous and present, we felt welcome. The prices are a little higher than other similar places but the quality is superior. The environment is decorated in Mediterranean style. We will definitely be back. View menu

We had a wonderful dinner last night at Sapurito Cucina Povera in the Politeama. We started off with amazing stuffed zucchini blossoms. For main courses we had pasta con sarde, pasta con vongole, pasta con salsicce, and involtini with roast potatoes. To accompany our meal some had a Cataratto from Alessandro di Camporeale and others sampled some Italian craft beers. We had incredible service from Valentina. It was a lovely evening and I will be back.

Following the recommendation of our hotel for a local and not touristy dining location, something not too expensive, we dined at Sapurito tonight. It was a great dinner! All the food we had was outstanding, appetizer, main course, salad, desert and wine, and our waitress Valentina gave us great recommendations and was super friendly. The prices were very reasonable and the dining experience was relaxed and cheerful, and they even started serving us 20 minutes before their official opening time, being very accommodating to some very tired and hungry tourists. Highly recommend!
