Friulian cod is not similar to that of Vicenza, where the pieces of fish are clearly distinguishable, but presents itself more like a cod mousse that can be spread on polenta, or as they do in nearby Slavic countries, directly on bread. The dish is very good and delicate. The polenta is perfect! Perhaps the best I have ever eaten in a restaurant and I also have confirmation in the next dish: a truly excellent terrine of melted montasio, polenta and speck where all three main elements marry perfectly. The place certainly impressed me and deserves to be revisited.
