I stopped by here for lunch having passed this place on the bus numerous times. The food was very fine though expensive. I really enjoyed the service and the atmosphere

Well visited restaurant so make sure you book. The food was very well cooked, although I would have preferred the scallops to be caramelized, and there was nothing unusual or especially creative View menu

Eine perfekte Mittagspause mit sehr leckerem Mittagsmenu: drei Gänge für 17,50 €. Der Fisch war toll gebraten und der Nachtisch ein fruchtig gelungener Abschluss. Immer wieder gerne. Netter Service. Gute offene Weine dazu.

Wir lieben das 3-gängige Lunchmenü, Fisch oder Fleisch imm zur Auswahl, Vorspeisen klein und lecker, Hauptgang nicht zu groß, Nachtisch fast immer klasse. Wein- und Digestivauswahl umfangreich. Das alles zu einem günstigen Preis im Bistrot-Ambiente mit sehr gutem freundlichen Service, auf den Bänken etwas unbequem. Der Patron ist anwesend.

This is an excellent little bistro in the heart of Plittersdorf, Bonn just around the corner from our home. The standard of food is always excellent and they have a changing menu depending on what is fresh and in season. The staff are friendly. This is a local French style bistro with a competitve lunch menu for courses, such as matje herring, ox cheek with cabbage and panna cotta. Unbeatable. All freshly cooked, with friendly service. A choice of seating on the terrace or indoors. You can...also just have a large salad and a glass of wine, which lots of people do in the evening. It is always full, not surprisingly

We have long been looking for a recent which serves very good quality fish in Bonn, and you can certainly get that at this restaurant. A little on the pricey side perhaps, but the food quality and service were all excellent in our opinion. We...were in a group of people, and the main courses were all excellent. Some of the recent trip advisor reviews I saw afterwards are not so good, but I have no hesitation in giving this place stars

This has become a local favourite of ours as for many others. Schaarschmidt offers a daily changing menu as well as more or less fixed à la carte suggestions and are the same for both lunch and dinner. The fixed price daily menu features an...hors d'ouevre, a choice of entrées usually one fish, one meat and a dessert and is extremely good value. If one of the recommended dishes doesn't please, an à la carte substitute is quickly found and won't break the bank. Wine choices are limited but adequate.
