"An old fashioned brewery with an excellent restaurant (and good beer) with genuine Bavarian specialties on the menu and at a very good price. The brewery is located in the center of the old town of Traunstein and has a large patio overlooking the surrounding villages and parts of the older original housing. The inside still has the original copper tanks and a unique atmosphere. The beer is excellent as you would expect and the food good with very reasonable prices. This is a local favorite for special events such as weddings and anniversary parties but still caters to the locals who come in for their daily "stammtisch" as well as local families for their after church dinner for the family.A very pleasant experience for food and drink in a truly old German way!"

an old brewery was converted into a very nice restaurant in which they still brew. great atmosphere, they can enjoy their own beer along with well prepared typical Bavarian foods.

The beers were above average, with the pale ale hopped with Mandarina Bavaria hops being the standout brew. The inside is very attractive, and you can see the lovely copper brewhaus. But side outside outback for a fantastic view.

Decor: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Staff: 5/5 This place is brilliant & well worth a visit if you're in Traunstein. We also visited the Traunstein Hoffbrauhaus but compared to Schnizlbaumer it was utterly inferior. Regretted leaving - will definitely come again if I'm in the area.

not bad! typical German food. a little pricy. delicious beer. I have 27 eur for two beers, main dish (stew) and imiserschmarrn (dessert.) I could hardly move. in general it was more than ok, but not super amazing. 4 /5. If I visit traunstein, I will try something else again.

This was the best meal I had during five days in Bavaria. I had one of the house specialty beers, Ursprung, which is an unfiltered Kellerbier. Es war so lecker!!! And I had the Sauerbrat'l, which was on the menu of Bayerische Spezialäten, and it was amazing. Cured pork with gravy, so simple. This place was nothing overly special, just simply delicious.

the interior of this brewery/restaurant is truly stunning. what a wonderful space. the terrace back is also a beautiful place to take an evening meal in summer. in the city with a business colleague. had a flight from beer. was very surprised. that I couldn't get my own beer for the flight, but had to take their preselected flight....what the waiter didn't explain to me, lol, but I think I was possessed what was desired. had a bark soup with the bark bone....a beautiful, cheerful brot, that was very delicious. as an asparagus season, I have ordered a small, white, spargel with butter sauce, a small, white carving and kartoffel. all in order. the college had a drawn blackburger he had enjoyed...
