Come here regularly for a catch up with friends. Always friendly staff great selection of coffee and food. Cakes are fabulous. Always take one home.

A clean environment, tasty breakfast and friendly staff. A shame a piece of toast isn’t included, especially with the double breakfast, but still worth five stars. Coffee pretty good too.

The food here is always really good and the staff are lovely. The toilets are the stinkiest toilets in the land, a bit grubby looking as well. Some attention should really be paid to this as it’s letting the place down. Everything else is great.

Fabulous early Christmas dinner today at the Seed Room. Never disappoints. Great friendly service and excellent coffee too. Thoroughly recommended! I think some of the people leaving negative reviews must either be very very hard to please or confused as to where they have visited.

My wife and I have used the Seed Room for quite a while now since it first opened, it has gone from strength to strength over the years, improving and expanding into what is now a great cafe bistro. Our 2nd visit with friends to find the restaurant extended and spacious and very comfortable. The menu was excellent with a variety of choices well prepared and presented and very good value. My choice of a Bacon Chop was delicious and all our party enjoyed their selections. We will certainly re-visit in the near future with the addition of visiting the garden centre.

We've been here many times and the story is always the same: good cooking, especially of the daily specials, and friendly, welcoming service. Today's specials including excellent pie and peas, and a smoked ham hock salad with pork crackling, black pudding and a beautifully dressed salad. By any standards this is good restaurant-style food – but at affordable prices. Not surprisingly, the airy, open room was packed today, but the dishes arrived promptly. Cracking spot.

Not a pleasant experience when the chef feels the need to come out of his kitchen and shout at his customers. One small comment about my food and I was made to feel tiny, embarrassed and upset. If you can’t go to a restaurant (or cafe as this is) and pass a comment on, surely that’s a reflection on him. My food wasn’t quite right yet I didn’t ask for a refund, I didn’t make a fuss, I just said a few words. I paid up and left in tears. I will never go back. Humiliated. View menu
