"Sunday lunch is pretty usual in England but for some reason not so in Germany, so we were surprised to find a restaurant open for Sunday lunch. We had reservations but really didn't need them as, despite the lively setting alongside a marina and quite close to a ferry dock, the restaurant wasn't very busy. Service at first was efficient but completely disappeared by the last course.Portions are large so only order a first course if you're really hungry. Salads were generous but not very tasty despite what should be tasty ingredients. The companion had the steak and cheese spatzle. Despite being cooked medium the steak was tough but the spatzle was under-seasoned. The entree came with a side salad. My dish of lake fish was generous with various fishes from Lake Constance. There were six small fillets, again well cooked but under-seasoned. The dish came with six boiled potatoes and a melange of shredded vegetables that looked like it had been sitting for a long while in a steam tray. Desserts, when we got them, were very good. My macaroon with fresh berries and berry ice cream was excellent tainted by the disappearance of almost every member of the wait staff. We sat for a good 20 minutes before someone patrolled the dining area. Then another 15 before we were able to order coffee and the bill. Can't explain the problem but suspect everyone clocked off at 14,00 despite customers still sitting at tables. If you choose the Seehof for a meal get there early."

Excellent location near the pier. More upmarket with gourmet food. Large outdoor terrace. Also a great place for afternoon tea.

Typical German food but the best quality I've ever eat. Also some not so German fusion dishes that are great. Tip: try out the the local whiskey, grappa and of course the wines.

A group of eight of us had dinner here recently - I expected a typical lakeside restaurant experience, but his one exceeded expectations by a fair margin, The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Better still, while it couldn't be classed as a bargain meal it was certainly great value. View menu

This is a wonderful restaurant with an old section and a new section. The food was well prepared and well presented (too much though). The primary distraction the second night were the dogs. People bring their dogs into restaurants in Germany and they all think theirs are the best. Not so around other dogs in particular.

Lovely restaurant next to the small harbour. Varied menu. Good food with maybe overly large portions, but beatifully presented and cooked. As much as possible is sourced in the region itself.Service was good .There is a restaurant terrace with tablecloths, and another area on the grass where dress is casual/ shorts and tee shirt.Very good value and worth a visit.

Had the opportunity to dine at this recommended restaurant on our last trip to Germany. It was a superb dining experience. The menu is filled with great food provided by a creative chef. Every entree proved to be delightful especially the duck breast. there are two sections in the restaurant, one classic German, and the other, minimalist modern. Both areas are delightful and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have encountered in Germany. View menu

We stayed at this location in June to visit family and friends. This location provided everything you could ask for. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet in the morning offered a wide variety of different items. They even got me something that wasn't offered without hesitation. Our room had a splendid view to the lake and plenty of space. One of the owners of the property greeted guests as he walked the premises every day which gave it a special personable touch. We are looking forward to another stay in the future!

If you're not staying at the hotel plan on looking for parking....but so worth it. The restaurant is on the water and has beautiful views of the lake. It's very elegant inside with lovely decor. The service is top notch. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to recommend a perfect local wine for us, which we loved. As with all portions in Germany, the portions at Seehof were no different and it was a struggle to finish the main course. We had the house salad to start and my husband who dislikes most dressings - really liked the dressing which came with it. The lamb was excellent as well as the beef tenderloin. Seehof offers the full experience of good food and a beaut...

"the restaurant häfele in immenstaad my favourite place at the lower sea, where I can observe the laying of the passenger ships and sailing ships. all that at very little trouble. location: this is in the best position at the beginning of the harbourmole of immenstaad. next door is the small harbour of immenstaad. within the building block are the tourist information and a public toilet and the yachtclub. the terrace is very large. in bright and glazed interieur also find very many guests space. Moreover, there is also a circulation in the interior: everything I have tried so far (carved, thai curry,) was very delicious. the food came warm and after a short time at the table, as it looks in the high season, I can't say. the selection ranges from thaicurry to lasagne, drall roasts to zanderfilets. here everyone finds something. prizes: the boar with pommes without salat for just 19 eur is already neat. but they are also here by the sea and I want to pay the view. very many meat dishes are as normal part 240 gr. and smaller part 180 gr. available personally: the personal is very friendly. in the next season the personal deck could sometimes be somewhat better padded. park: at the beginning of the harbourmole there are some paid parking spaces. Otherwise you have to go a bit further if you find something somewhere in the surrounding areas. Accessibility: the complete system (internal and external) is barrier-free. from parking. after that: from the naval dock you can start a journey to Constance, Lindau or mersburger."

"We visited this place last year enjoyed excellent Pizzas, with prompt service, at a time when the resort was extremely busy our Hotel had messed up on dinner reservations. This year a very different story. Initially we were plagued by tables of chain...smokers who seemed to use tobacco products to settle their stomachs between courses. (It's about time Germany adopted a smoking ban where food is being consumed) Then our Pizza Bread starter failed to materialise they tried to serve mains first. Once corrected, we found we had made a big mistake. The PB was OK, but for mains we ordered Spag Bol Lasagne. Both were terrible. The SB/Ragu sauce seemed like a cheap jar brew, heavily laced with tomato puree little else. The Lasagne was salty, without cheese sauce, but intead a filling of chopped york ham covered with some local grated cheese that was completely inappropriate. Even allowing for the arguement that these meals might suit local tastes, which we doubt, neither were of restaurant quality, Then to add insult, when the still full plates were asked to be cleared we complained, we were made to feel it was our fault that their food was poor. The waiters made a ridiculous scene the whole experience was quite frankly shameful then. to cap it all, full payment was demanded. There was no sign of any management involvement or apology. Anyway, a lesson learned; we shall never return. We advise others who insist they want an Italian meal to stick strictly to the Pizza Menu. Better still, go elsewhere."
