The problems with this place are that it's extremely noisy, because of the glass roof it's hot in Summer and cold in Winter and the space is bare and unwelcoming.

Had a lovely lunch on a busy weekday. The staff were great, they were so so busy running around to ensure everyone was looked after. Food was served quickly and was delicious, will definitely return!

I often visit Shades for lunch. As I have diabetes, I am unable to comment on the cakes and desserts, but they look very appetizing. For dinner, I typically enjoy the steak pies. I also like the roasts and baked potato lunches with side salad. The cheese they serve is delicious.

Lovely cup of coffee. The sausage rolls and desserts are nice, but they are out in the open right next to the queue. It puts you off, as after the pandemic, people are more concerned about germs, and you've got everyone filing past the open food. It would be good if the food was covered.

Went here for the fish and chips as in the past has always been good, but unfortunately today the fish and chips were reheated in the microwave (which I know they do with other hot food) but it came out soggy and unappealing and I had to leave the batter, the peas were cold and like bullets. Not the standard of past trips!
