"the restaurant makes a thriving and making impression.The carvings of the wood-panels cover with the intarsias we liked very well. in the entrance area, there were countless photos of celebrities that should give the house the higher order.We had a table reserved for 5 people, which turned out to be good and correct in the well-visited restaurants. Before eating hot cloths were served, which did good to the hands. After that we received a home-aperitiw, which really tasted good.After approx. 15 minutes we accepted our order.I can only make a judgement by my court.The spring roll for about 3.50 euro as an appetizer was in order, although not to be highlighted. ente Süß-sauer was my main dish for 19.50 Euro.The duck was nicely cooked and served with mandels. the sose sweet and sour separately. the court was in order, but was also not the name "gourmet tempel "just with which this house tastes. who wants to spend an athmological beautiful evening in beautiful spatial areas is right here. for a Chinese restaurant, however, prices are quite high. I think that's more than the ambiente than the kitchen owed."

all the dishes were very nice, beautiful environment, the owner appeared 2 times at our table and we had a great time.

above-average Chinese cuisine, giant portraits, good dim sum. the foods are back-stopping seasoned. the service is not exactly charming, but professional. the ambiente is pompous: China-Kitsch as kitsch can. so exaggerated that it has something again. rather than modernist-smooth and cool.

the damp warm towels at the beginning is a very nice idea and actually a note on a raised kitchen, which confirm the prices. However, the service was somewhat subcooled and the hotplates were not completely clean. the food was o.k. and fresh but not exceptional. the portions were very large, yet we would have been happy about a more refined spice. It used be the best Chinese restaurant in Hamburg. It seems they made enough money and don't need anymore or they think they can get through with anything. The customer on the table behind me complained about his duck dish that it's not crispy enough and they kept arguing with him and at last they changed it. The service the extremely bad, quality a disgrace.

After a long time we visited the Chinese restaurant to enjoy lunchtime. Unfortunately, the previous times, good memories were very disappointed.The service had probably just trained at the gym, so at any rate we were banged to eat before the nose. of courtesy, or friendliness no trace. the presup was strongly salted. after we have had to wait a long time until the empty was cleared and the required bill was created.

this is one of the most popular Chinese restaurants in hamburg and with quite safety the most friendly. neat dim sum and very tasty main dishes. Veggie options are great. it is a busy place that is very popular especially with families. it is easy to understand why. it is a cozy, pleasant place and the service is very friendly. our waiter, kelvin, was super helpful, we liked to recommend and was good to talk. we'll be back. more decent also. the shin shin is surely one of the largest china restaurants in hamburg and with quite always well visited. the friendly atmosphere that is lived by the old lady enjoys the gast for many decades. we always like to come to this Europeanized Chinese. that the young herr wu now also collects German oldtimer, shows the successful integration of this Taiwanese family.Great groups should order in time to get to the giants and enjoy the different meals from the turn.

i go there every year for christmas with my family. this restaurant is definitely good for gatherings! chinse food is not my favorite cuisine so i always eat the same dish, i really like this one tho. the food always comes warm! as a gathering we always get hot towels each before we eat, i don't know if its the same for others but its an amazing service. my cousin didn't learn german yet but the waitress was still able to communicate with him because she thought my cousin is really cute and well mannered, i love this restaurant! my cousin felt so appreciated afterwards. it also looks really nice in there and luxurious in there. you should definitely try this restaurant out ;

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember.The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity.The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
