"We ate in the restaurant (not the fast food area) twice in a week, once in the sun on the terrace taking in the fantastic view. We had the tapas sharing plate and café gourmand which were both fantastic and the staff were friendly and...service good. We went back on the Wednesday for a slow long lunch, sitting indoors as the weather wasn't as good. We reserved a table by the window about an hour before our meal and the staff were friendly and helpful (same staff as previously, didn't get names but 1 male and 1 female, both fantastic). My husband had the steak, which was cooked just as ordered and presented beautifully. I had the chicken which again was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. We shared a cheese board, then the chocolate tart. All beautiful, only slight grumble was that I told it was a chocolate tart and it was praline, which I don't like but that is probably down to my lack of French and my husband gladly finished it. Thank you for looking after us and adding to our lovely holiday. PS. The dogs are great"

This is a nice stop to relax and recharge on the slopes. Easy to access and was not too busy. The cheeseburger and fries was great, as was the beer and coffee.

We had lunch two days at this restaurant high up on the slopes in L'Alpe-d'Huez, the food was consistently high quality, friendly staff, and stylish interiors with panoramic views of the surrounding alps.

this is certainly not the cheapest place to eat in the resort, but the drive up in the night, stunning out view, warm service and drive to home on the slope means it is a very different experience and worth the extra couple euro for a tasty

Had a drink here whilst out skiing. Always looked very busy for food so I can imagine it was good. Very pricey for a beer at 9 euros but that's always the way on the slopes. Beautiful views and easy for non skiers/snowboarders to visit as they can go up and down on the gondola. View menu

A fantastic lunch with friends with stunning views of the Alpes all around. Superb slow roasted lamb lunch especially prepared by the Head Chef. A great lunch spot for skiers and non skiers!Could have stayed all afternoon and opened another bottle!Looking forward to our next visit already!

Warm welcome on arrival after a day on the slopes stopped for a snack, ended up in the restaurant, Lady kindly directed us downstairs, asked about gluten free food, staff were only to happy to help. I had burger (no bun) with salad, hubby had ham and cheese baguette, friendly service with a smile, well worth a visit and the views are stunning.

We arrived at the restaurant after a good morning's skiing - the place (quite big) was rammed but luckily some other members of our party had arrived earlier and bagged a table. The view was beautiful, the sun shining from a blue sky. Unfortunately the service was extremely slow and we were there for nearly an hour before our pizzas/croque monsieur/salads were delivered to us. But worth the wait just to sit in the sun and look at the view. Be advised that to go to the loo you need to get a token from the waiting staff, or out of a basket at the end of the counter. These are collected when you go in to the shared loos. View menu

It's not often your stomach still turns at the thought of your food a couple of weeks later but Signal managed that feat. In a table of 6, one person actually enjoyed their dinner and as they have quite a childish taste in food, it really didn't say much. I ordered a lasagne and what I got was basically a bowl of oil, cheese, pasta and bacon bits. The oil formed into a large pool in the dish and was somehow tasteless. The restaurant is punching way above it's weight, sure it has beautiful views and you have to book if you want to sit outside for lunch but it's pretentious and the quality does not match up with the look it's trying to achieve. Go elsewhere.

Food was superb BUT although waiter repeated ‘Burger Rossini’ when we ordered my husband got a normal burger. No apology from the waiter. Had to ask for carafe of water 3 times! Asked for the bill it never arrived so I went and paid...inside. For an expensive lunch the service was seriously lacking. And on top of this just as our meal arrived the lady at the table right beside us downwind lit up a second cigarette we did attempt to get her to stop or move away while we were eating, to no avail. Also don’t go if you don’t like a dog running free in and around the tables and at times begging at table height. A pity as these few things will prevent us returning for a quality menu and food.
