"We visited Sindhu on Saturday with another couple to celebrate my birthday and had the tasting menu with the paired wines, along with cocktails and more wine. Both the food and wine were very good and paired well, although there was no information given on the wine when each one arrived at the table, ie which wine it was, the tasting notes, or how they paired with the respective course (having previously visited Atul Kochhar's other Marlow restaurant, Vaasu, where all this information was given in a very professional manner, we had expected that here too). In fact, the waiter informed us the white wine would be brought to the table shortly and it was in fact a red wine for that particular course! On the whole the service was good, although the food arrived before the paired wine for one course so we had to wait and the food started getting cold. Also with the main course, the wine came out a long time before the food and we had almost finished it by the time the food arrived, so had to order another glass each to enjoy with the food. These are only little points i know, but when you are paying this kind of money you expect everything to be just right. Although we had a great evening overall, if i was going to spend this amount of money on a meal again in Marlow it would definitely be at Vaasu."

Excellent meal. They guided us through the menu and every course was delicious. We are senior citizens and can’t eat very hot curries any more so they made sure everything was appropriately hot but was still extremely tasty. There was no attempt to upsell the amount of food (which is rare these days and little was left behind. Good food, fair price and excellent service.

Disappointing. We have been before and it felt really special. This time the food was ok but not special and there none of the nice touches from before. Beware the add ons which easily double the cost of set lunch which at £25 seems reasonable. Huge mark up on wine. The dessert mousse was awful and ice cream a cheap alternative. Agree with other comments re being rushed. Sorry but won’t be back.

it's been a long time since I live in a atul kochar restaurant. I was still in university and it was 2008. I feel old and I just think about it. at that time benares, atul's flagship restaurant in mayfair, had just won a Michelin star, which ran over from tamarind where he was chef. Today atuls restaurant empire extends over 3 continental with outposts in dubai, madrid and india. he also has restaurants on board of p

it really feels like forever since I wrote a contribution. we have a new member of our small family and so means that I would rather go in and cook than to go and miss evening smuggling on my sofa with this guy. who could resist this face. we escaped a Sunday and drove to marlow, which is randomly one of my favorite places outside of london. it is beautifully picturesque and, besides the river are houses that I dream with a beautiful wooden boat to pootle to live on the water. a day!

michelin played koch, atul kocchar is the latest to open here with its new restaurant arehu, with a stunning view over the river. the chef of this new company is a herren named gopal krishnan. gopal has a stellar life skating, with strict training through the taj hotel company and has worked in the kitchens of london mint leaf and tamarind. poppadome and homemade chutney were on hand to settle us together with a uniquely structured but tasteful amuse beech. cocktails were however the most important highlight to begin when this fruity lime and ginger cocktail was carved with cardamom was really enthusiastic.

Massive disappointment. We had the tasting menu at £74 per head. This is really not that tasty and the venison surcharge of £12.00 is very tough. The lamb was no better. We were there for 3 hours trying to enjoy the experience but the staff seem to be not to be trained well at all. One of the servers who was supposed to pour wine into our gasses managed to tip a huge amount all over the table. There was no apology, no help and we were given some tissues to mop up. I had to take my wifes skirt to the cleaners as it as drenched in wine. The service is condescending, the team seem to be not trained and am so fed up with someone coming to serve a meal without any description of what it is but ju...

I have been to one of Atul Kochhar's restaurants before (Vaasu) and didn't think anything could beat that, but Sindhu did. This time it was with my husband for an anniversary treat. From the moment we arrived we could not have been more welcome. The food was exquisite, the service both attentive and discrete, but what made the difference was the setting, in The Complete Angler, overlooking the Thames and Marlow weir is special in itself. I cannot rave enough about the food, we had the lunch menu, plenty of choice for a limited menu and something for everyone. At £25 for three courses it is a bargain, but once you add on all the extras and drinks it does push the price up quite a bit, so be p...
