Great Mansfield pub ran by Terry Elaine always busy soul nights on last saturday of the month and sunday soul afternoons on 2nd sundays plus quiz nights charity events etc

Went for family Christmas meal about 35 of us the staff could not have been more helpful the food was piping hot even the kids enjoyed making snowmen out of the marshmallows they provided.

Been to the Sir John Cockle a few times in the last couple of weeks for both food and events. The atmosphere was great and so was the food, definitely recommend a burger. Will definitely be coming in more often.

Had the Mega mixed grill. Simply put, it was the best restaurant meal I have ever had and believe me I've had a few. Under new management with a new menu . Another plus was a separate menu for gluten free for my wife ,which meant you don't have to trawl through the whole menu searching for the little Gf sign. Definitely be back.

only recently my men had 50th birthday party here, everyone had a fantastic night, I also had a buffet, the prices were very reasonable, we also got a disco included, bonus that dj was also brittle, got all on dance, we had a part of the pub reserved for our party. I highly recommend them if they think of having a party that calls them.

I tried the new menu at the weekend it was beautiful we both had chicken burgers and we both really enjoyed it. my only thing i would've loved was to be more accommodating when i asked to upgrade my fries to dirty fries on my burger. but regardless, I have loved coming to this pub since i was 18 years old. super friendly and welcoming pub for all. the cockle team are one to be proud of, always providing entertainment and offers to keep things fun alongside a excellent local pub for a quick pint after work

I went with the family for lunch when we arrived the team were very welcoming and friendly. The management met and even exceeded expectations which you dont see in many places now days so it was refreshing to see. When the food arrived the presentation was Incredible as was the taste. Everyone enjoyed there meals which made my experience even better. The desserts were incredible aswell I would also say value for money was absolutely incredible I will be more than happy to recommend this place to anyone and will certainly be returning again. I think the new management team will do well hear and I wish them all the best.
