We were disappointed from service (mainly) and if the food was good ,i would pass on.it wasn't.so if you have 3 nights in Berlin go to somewhere else

The chairs and tables are old and scratched. Waiting for drinks takes 20-30 minutes, the DJ plays **** from the music, the music has no sense, cocktails are too expensive.

We went to the top floor (right above the restaurant) for drinks, late one night. The decor is very chic, the music was good, and the service was excellent. I recommend this for those who like nightlife, but who mostly like to sit and visit over drinks. View menu

One of the best rooftop lounges I have visited. Beautiful view on Berlin. Best to visit during the week. Best time to visit during sunset, which in summertime extends upto 10:30 pm in Berlin. I definitely look forward to my next visit to Solar sometime soon again.

We had wanted a place at the window in the bar, had not worked. There were also no bar chairs at the switchboard, so stand. The nice service was friendly but had too much to do and therefore long waiting times. At the prices, I do not expect an extra payment for the toilet walk! View was great, music too.

As mentioned in other reviews, the entry is in a not so shiny backyard and the building itself looks kind of shabby. If you ignore the first impression, the view from the 16th floor where the restaurant is located is great. I would give 4 points if I would only rate the drinks and food. Both are good and the price is acceptable. What was not so good was the service. It took over a hour to order. The time between the courses was also quite long - main course came after 2hours. The staff at this restaurant couldn't do enough for us! Being my partners birthday, I asked for a window seat. Not only did we get a lovely window seat, the staff knew who we were, a complimentary glass of bubbles each, and a complimentary gift of choc truffles later and we were blown away by the treatment received!Not only was the service great, the food was great too, having it explained was great and the effort that went in was brilliant.A hidden gem is highly recommend visiting! Thank you Solar for a great meal :)

As very negative we felt that we had to sit at the table on uncomfortable unpadded wooden stools. In the meantime, the service had disappeared for some time, and she apologized to us. After the plan of the bar, we should have cleared our table at some point, it didn't happen. Garderobe was probably down in the entrance area, that was not ours, but in the bar area there was nothing to hang, as I said, also no chair rest. The fact that a lady sitting in the toilet, who had a plate for money, I find a nausea at these drinks prices.

Yes, a three hour dining experience. You can eat anywhere but dining takes a special combination of ambiance (16th floor panorama view); exceptional service (a team of four servers delivering food and drink -- thank you Franzi); creative and memorable tastes (from the opening smoked mackerel "sushi" to the finished sweets); and the perfectly paired wines throughout the dinner.I opted for their 3 course Culinary Delight with wine. An absolutely fabulous three hours. This is the model of what dining should be. One note -- and I'm not willing to decrease the rating -- they are located behind the building and a bit challenging for our taxi driver to find. View menu
