"Our family of five stayed for three nights at Hotel Sonne and had a very nice time. The room was quaint and interesting (with a loft and a kitchen area), and the food, drinks, and service in the restaurant was first rate. The hotel is centrally located in Kirchzarten and is an easy train or bus ride away from many attractions. The servers in the restaurant were particularly helpful. We will be back."

I had dinner here on my first night at the hotel. Service very good, staff spoke perfect English. Traditional German food, good choice and very tasty.

We came here while we cycled from Freiburg. Food was delicious, especially the duck! Service was friendly. Have the meal outside if the weather permits!

Went there for lunch, they have some nice lunch specials. The waitress spoke English which was helpful. Nice wines and beers as well. Will go there again before we leave

We visited the hotel with our family and friend and we were very happy. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Restaurant is really nice and dishes are really delicious. I specially recommend the carpaccio and the beef.

The sun is located in the centre of Kirchzarten. When I find one of the best restaurants in Kirchzarten. The food is always very delicious. (but a little more expensive). I really can only recommend the sun. Service top!

We are visiting friends in Kirchzarten and had a wonderful dinner here. The servers heard us speaking and immediately switched to English. The service was perfect. I had the lamb with roasted potatoes and green beans. Everything was excellent. For dessert I had the creme brûlée with fresh fruit and raspberry sorbet. Delicious! I highly recommend the Sonne.
