Not a bad place, food arrived fast and there was no major issue with it at all. You wouldn't rate it 4*, but considering the price range you get what you pay for.

Delicious Italian food. Good service, friendly Italian staff. Good atmosphere. 2 mins walk from Checkpoint Charlie. Note: bring cash, restaurant does not facilitate payment by card.

It was only 6 p.m. when we came across Sotto Sopra near Checkpoint Charlie. Fabulous pizzas and lovely red wine. Our waiter was very attentive and put up with my Italian-accented English with much joy. Good, inexpensive meal View menu

Normal restaurant with high prices but the beers are good and they dont rip you off by buying them, the other good thing is the good and fast connection, besides its placed near the famous checkpoint charlie just the epicentre of tourists traps

We wanted to have a good pizza close to Check point Charlie. We could already think that the place was maybe not that good because of many tourists. And this was indeed the case. Service was so so, pizza just average. Not the place to go for a good pizza.

Great staff, and impeccable location! The pizza we ordered was very tasty, but served to the seven of us approx five minutes after ordering. How can you make seven pizzas that fast and still keep them fresh? The place is not that authentic and very touristy. View menu

I liked this restaurant as soon as i had my first meal..Yes and the second day i was back again! this restaurant has a good italian vibe and the service is very good ,the dishes i tried all was very tasty indeed. SOTTO SOPRA food is affordable and service is exceptional..

Looking for somewhere to eat in the area of Checkpont Charlie is difficult- unless you want to eat McDo's or similar- really why would you? This small Italian is located on Kochstrasse about 100 metres south of Charlie. It's nothing special, but the food offered is way better than anything else around it. We had a simple hawaiian pizza and a spaghetti bolognese, Both were fine, no complaints but not the greatest food you will ever eat. Bolo sauce was heavily tomato'ed with not too much beef but was still tasty enough. Prices were reasonable - cash only no cards. Staff were friendly - even to the annoying elderly American women who insisted on talking only in English - not even an attempt at...

The restaurant is directly opposite the Check Point Charlie museum. Having never travelled to Berlin before and not quite having our bearings, this was the first restaurant we came across that wasn't a McDonalds or a subway. The staff were very nice and gave us a table and menus straight away.The menu was hand written and had broken English translations for all the food available. (It was easy enough to figure out which item was what food.) We both ordered the roast chicken with potatoes.
