Traditional Bavarian dishes in the centre. Very recommended. The food is delicious. The service is professional and friendly. The location and atmosphere just top. And most of all I was satisfied with the tranquility in the room: without noise, only relaxation and good food.

A stone's throw from marienplatz is the restaurant spatenhaus. it is a typical bayer restaurant in a positive sense. We ate sausages and, of course, we ate a gemischter wursteller for 18.90 euros and 3 weisswurste for 10.50. cola was relatively expensive 4.90 and brezn unnecessarily expensive - 1.60 euros. the restaurant held high class! We met after the theater while walking on the outdoor area of the Spatenhaus at the opera. The upper was very friendly and polite, despite the late hour asked us if we would like to take something to us. The order was made flotted and it tasted very well. The longdrinks were also very well prepared. The view of the National Theatre and the former main post office in evening lighting is phenomenal. You don't have the feeling of being seen as a paying tourist - that's not common in Munich! We are happy to come back-clear recommendation!

This restaurant had great food and we found outside seating quickly. Although, I do think this may have been due to eating at an off peak lunchtime. The best part of this restaurant was you were in a tourist area but no crowded mobs of people while you eat. Our waitress was kind, personable, professional and patient. With one fluent German and his partner, my husband, 3 year old daughter and I were treated with excellence. The food had a variety from authentic-like Bavarian cuisine to the expected tourist German cuisine. Our German speaking friend was quite happy at this restaurant. Regarding price.$ Expect tourist price. Spartan is an excellent German beer too. Great hidden find. Loved it.

during our day trip to Munich, the spatenhaus was also on the program as a conclusion of the day.In the restaurant in the first floor we had reserved a nice table directly with a view of the opera.Our waiter was extremely friendly and has looked after us perfectly throughout the evening. especially great was his statement: "I'm sorry, but I've been listening to her - if you still want imperial smarrn - then you have to order now - otherwise he's out." such waiter we need a nice word in Germany - despite full of tables and really much work always a nice word.
