Outstanding preparation of every dish I tried (bone marrow, ox tongue, whole fish sticky toffee pudding). Classic, well done food that calls you back for more! Interesting, lovely wine list too.

I may have selected the wrong main dish, so I deducted a star, but I plan to update my review after my next visit. The eel left something to be desired, but everything else in the meal was exceptional. The bone marrow was delicious, the tongue was fabulous, and the desserts were great.

The food is outstanding, the service is very down to earth and accessible, attentive without being interruptive, our waiter was great at breaking down the menu, explaining the dishes in detail and giving his recommendations. Portion sizes are generous and prices are very reasonable given the reputation of this establishment!
