"The main course was served buffet-style with a strange combination of carb-heavy options - potatoes, rice, pasta, bread, more potatoes, a couple of meats, and two hot dishes that were barely hot. The service was slow, and my dad had to go to the bar at the other end of the pub to get our drinks. We waited a long time for the waiter to take our dessert orders, and when they finally arrived, my warm pear and ginger crepes with lime sorbet and chocolate sauce were cold and missing the chocolate sauce and sorbet. It seemed like the chef didn't know what was on the menu and was improvising. The brochure had advertised a disco, but we were shocked when the DJ pulled up a chair at our table to ask us what we wanted to hear (seriously, you're the DJ). We ended up leaving early and had a better New Year's celebration at our holiday cottage, although we were £175 poorer. We definitely will not be returning - there are much better places to dine in the Lakes."

We had a wonderful dining experience in a cozy and lively environment. The hot steak and cheese/mustard roll was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

We enjoyed an exceptional breakfast with wonderful customer service. We ordered the berries and a caramel latte, and I must say, it was the best cup of coffee I had during my visit to Britain.

Had a delicious baguette for lunch at this restaurant. It appears to have rebranded as Relish. The menu offers a great selection, including vegan options. They also have outdoor seating for those with their four-legged friends. The location in Keswick is perfect.

This charming café is the perfect destination for a cup of tea and a snack after a walk or run that concludes in Keswick. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the service is always quick and delicious. If you're in need of a quick and satisfying meal, this is the place to go.

We went there for a meal as it seemed to have had good reviews. The first course of Caesar salad was very good, with lots of anchovies. However, the main dishes were very disappointing. The 10 Chop 10 ounce pork meat was more like 5 or 6 oz. We found the meals to be expensive for the amount we received, hikers a good meal. The sticky toffees pudding sauce was grainy and poor.

This charming café is a gem. The staff is friendly and the sandwiches are delicious. They have a good variety of options to choose from. The location is ideal, especially on sunny days when you can sit outside and people-watch. Whenever we are in the area, we always make sure to stop by. We've noticed some complaints about the use of paper bags and plastic containers in previous reviews, but it's important to keep in mind the current situation with Covid-19.

On October 1st, 2014, my husband and I dined at this restaurant to celebrate his birthday. The hotel had a beautiful interior and exterior. My husband ordered the lamb shank, which was satisfactory, but the mashed potatoes seemed to be of the instant variety. The vegetables were not fresh, as they appeared to be from a jar or similar source. My meal was a spiced lentil hotpot with red cabbage on the side, similar to the type you can buy at M&S. The hotpot was served in an enamel cooking dish and the spiced lentils were topped with slices of potato, which looked unappetizing and tasted terrible. Overall, the experience was disappointing and overpriced.
