"We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while wandering around enjoying the Christmas lights. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the variety of dishes was excellent. We shared a small selection of tapas and each had a main dish. The flavors overall were fantastic and the level of spice was just right, although the meatballs were a bit tough. The atmosphere was great, and it was really cool to see a working SNES set up, although I didn't have a chance to play. I would definitely recommend this place and would come back again. The price per person is around £20-30. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Quesadillas, Meatballs, Olives."

Cozy and friendly bar with dining upstairs if prefer. Separate vegan menu always makes me happier as demonstrates their understanding and motivation. Great craft beer and lots of lovely dogs in the bar!

Friendly place with nice staff. Pretty many chic cocktails and so on. Vegan wines marked clearly on the list. It is a pretty simple menu for the vegan tapas options, but I enjoyed the Enchiladas they had a decent chili-kick. It's a good bar to just drink and relax.

They have soooo many vegan options. Althought make sure you ask for a separate vegan menu. Food is always great, reliable and tasty. Service is always spot on as well. Mostly tapas so great if you have a group where some are more hungry than others. Prices are very reasonable. Also amazing cocktails although these are more pricey!!

A really good vegan menu. It is a tapas restaurant so they recommend you order around 5 dishes between two. None of the dishes are meant to be a standalone main dish. We had onion rings with guacamole and salsa, garlic bread with olives, vegan cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, enchiladas and a lovely salad. This was loads of food for two hungry people and was all really, really good.

Is a smallish place and was busy. So had to wait a little bit. Has a seperate vegan menu and also has some vegan wine and other beverages. Almost everything we had was very good. The began nachos were very good and the special 'loaded garlic bread ' (vegan), was excellent. The vegan pallella was a bit disappointing, mushy and bland Friendly service and staff and food good. Would recommend.

We had tapas from the vegan menu. It was hard to decide what to choose as everything on the vegan menu looked good. We chose four tapas between the two of us and enjoyed every one of them. They were not served at the same time which meant that we enjoyed a journey through the range of delicious dishes. The wine and tequila were also excellent. The service was first class and the place was warm and welcoming. I wrote that in March 2018 and since then we have been back a few times and every time we gave had great food and service.

We ate at two Bar eS restaurants while staying in the Lake District the original location in Keswick and the recently opened one in Ambleside. Both offer a separate vegan menu which was very welcome, and there were some delicious tapas available, including patatas bravas, Mexican bean stew and a special garlic bread with sun blushed tomatos and roasted peppers. There were also two vegan mains, which we didn't have a chance to try. The vegan menu also states that vegan wine and beer options are available. Both locations would be ideal for lunch, dinner or having drinks in the evening.
