"I visited with my man on Friday and we had the most amazing meal. siobhan extended an incredibly warm reception. I could not believe that they had my favorite wine, and also my favorite wine (beaujolais Gamay grape white rioja). excellent wine list with...big beeping and apple wine caught. the service was impeccable. I was even able to order a drink from the menu, and I asked to cool the wee, which did quickly. nothing was too much annoyed. eating is extraordinary. as pescatarians we had a good choice. I had the searace and nakedby the vegetarian wellington. both of us had such a good time, I took the children and mama two days later to Sunday dinner. I couldn't wait to come back. the wellington was even better than it looked and the whole family enjoyed their meal. the Brat-Rind dinners were fab, homemade yorkshire puddings and amazing desserts. the fish cake starter was delicious. even my year old loved it. the scallops were cooked to perfection. my mother tried for the first time goat cheese in her life and she really enjoyed it. everything was absolutely excellent and I will be back soon. If they have the opportunity, they have to eat here. they will not regret it."

This restaurant is a pretty good one in the area and may still have a Michelin star.

Nice place to find on a walk._A few seats for a beer for walkers, but this is a gastro pub.

Three of us enjoyed the excellent steak sandwiches and the fourth thought the “main course” cheeseboard was excellent. But, we were somewhat put off by the less than friendly welcome and service

we saw this sri Lankan flavor dinner, which sounded irresistible. the atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and not loud. the food was nicely prepared and presented with a lot of dressed. we could not harm the food and taste the different dishes. the service was also excellent. the whole evening was very pleasant and exceeded expectations. will definitely go back. my wife and traveled a few distances to meet with another couple for a meal and an overnight in the stall. due to the fault of a farmer with a dolch, the cold water in the gasthof was cut off for the large part of our stay. while the owner had to cancel most of the evening bookings, we were still treated with a delicious meal and a pleasant stay. the personal made every/exit to ensure that we enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful meal here on a busy Wednesday evening and with a friendly atmosphere. We shared some nibbles of whitebait which were hot and crisp from the pan. Then we each had scallops which were perfectly cooked. My husband then had a superb...fillet steak and I had tempura seabream with triple cooked chips wonderful. The best part of the meal was a generous cheeseboard with a selection of four cheese in good condition.

This is a restaurant in the area that is pretty good. It used to have a Michelin star, and may still have one. A three-course meal will cost around £70-80, but the three mini brulee dessert is exceptional. The service is acceptable, but the hospitality is a bit cold. I have dined here 5 or 6 times and the food has always been excellent. The restaurant can sometimes feel exclusive, but if you overlook that, it is a great dining option. View menu

This restaurant is a nice find during a walk. There are only a few seats available for a drink, as it is mainly a gastro pub. They do not sell packets of crisps, but they can cook some for £1.50. I wish the staff had been friendlier and that I had noticed the small sign on the bar offering crisps. The food looked good and is priced at around £20 per plate, so I planned to return in the evening. However, I decided not to come back because I didn't want to spend that much money on my eight-year-old daughter if she ended up not liking the food. It would be helpful if they had a kids menu available, and they should inform customers about it.

we had only a fantastic meal and they were recommended, and they were right to eat and service are amazing. my sister does not have to eat gluten and we are never able to choose the same meal, but we both had the amazing cakes and loved it. they would not know that it was gluten-free and I suppose that is the point. the baked was perfect and it was a real cake not meat with baked lid, that only pretends to be a cake! a hubby had a burger and another had a steak and both loved it. I was a bit filled so could not try gloomy, but we will be back next year and I promise to leave the room. the staff was so friendly and welcoming and we had a really good evening meal. love the fact that the pub is...

"Wow! Visited here today 06.05.23 with family. I have to eat gluten free and couldn’t believe the options available I wish I had taken pictures, but the food was that good that I didn’t stop to take. We were a party of 6 and sat comfortably in the bar area. We were served by Maureen who was very welcoming and friendly. The food was so fresh, plentiful and a great price. Mark the chef certainly knows his stuff and it was a pleasure meeting him. I have to say it’s the first food establishment that I have visited where the pasta and batter is gluten free as standard. fish, onion rings etc) I was even able to eat the garlic bread. The biggest surprise was that my favourite dessert was also on the menu and that too was gluten free Rhubarb crumble and custard! Needless to say I had a three course meal and I’m writing this review after needing a nap I’m not local to the area unfortunately and wish I could have returned to sample the Sunday lunch. Once again, gluten free Yorkshire puddings are available as is gluten free gravy, along with a choice of three different meats and a good selection of vegetables. Well done Maureen and Mark. I will definitely be back to sample your Sunday lunch next time I am in the area. If you could stock a selection of gluten free beers that would be fantastic but the wine did not disappoint. Thank you and hope to see you again soon Angie"
