Went on Match day Arsenal at home and menu price increased 25% rip off. Food average not impressed had much better. Service slow

I visited this restaurant with my family to celebrate a late birthday dinner and it was fantastic. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food we received.

I visited the Standard Tandoori and had a totally fantastic meal. The service was excellent, the food was superb and the bill was reasonable. I this cost I asked the waiter for a main course recommendation, a lamb and chicken dish which was excellent. Thank you for a lovely evening.

The first thing you'll notice is the really genuine friendly service always. The place is small cosy, if a bit dated but that just adds to the charm. The menu is standard the food good, with some dishes being extremely tasty just a bit different. Would not hesitate to return here or to recommend...would say it's a bit better than just standard! My wife and myself were walking along Holloway Road the other evening when we came across the Standard Tandoori. We both fancied a curry and we were delightfully surprised. Neither of us like hot curries so whilst our choices were on the mild side they were flavoursome and plentiful. The service received was good and the prices very favourable compared to some especially for drinks.We do not visit this area very often but when we do a visit to the Standard Tandoori will be on the cards.

We accidentally ended up going to Standard Tandoori when we could not find an other restaurant on New Years Eve. The waiter was kind, the food was incredibly good, we enjoyed every bite of it. After talking to the waiter, he invited us to see the tandoori oven in the kitchen. The kitchen was very clean, it was great to meet everybody. At the end of the meal we got a New Years present a bottle of wine and some after eight chocolates it was an amazing experience! We left the restaurant extremely happy, the food was just incredible cooked, clean, good flavors, tender, juicy, just really, really good one of the best east Indian meals we have had.

Finding ourselves at Highbury corner and fancying a curry we had a check here and decided to go to the Standard due to the generally good reviews. As the average graders have said before we found our roshni chicken and lamb jalfrezi distinctly average nothing to complain about but nothing to write home about. They simply don't have the depth of flavour that you can expect when you find a better than average restaurant. It's a shame as everything else about the meal was at least good if not excellent. The chicken tikka starter was a world apart, tender, perfectly spiced and so tasty. The naan's were fluffy and cooked perfectly (although the keema naan did need a tastier meat inside). The wine...
