"Wonderful location in one of the better neighborhoods in Basel, old house with high ceilings, very nicely renovated and decorated. Very nice atmosphere. Food is very good. Asparagus amuse Bouche and coquilles St. Jacques were excellent. Also ribs were very good. Lamb was unfortunately not good, very strong lamb taste. Lemon desert was excellent. Overall very good food. Very poor choice of wine by the glass, the quality they offer is really not matching the level of the restaurant. Service is not at the level of a Michelin star restaurant, it is way too casual, sometimes you wait very long until you get served, they serve you over the table and not from the side, some of the staff are not overly friendly. The service is really the weak point, I have experienced this several times here. A pity as it is a lovely place with good food. If you love good food in a nice location and don’t mind casual service then you will like it."

Food was good. However, I personally felt that the flavor explosions were missing.

I didn't like the food. I would advise against something like this not being called 5 star cuisine. At the Hotel 3 König they try harder.

The anticipation and expectations were very high. And we were not disappointed. A perfect evening that we enjoyed very much. Thank you! Therefore the 5 stars are absolutely deserved thanks to the spectacular food and very friendly service.

Poetry from the kitchen and wine cellar! In terms of taste and presentation, the aroma menu ranges from amuse-bouche to dessert. Each course is a delicacy in itself, but the overall picture justly deserves the name. The sommelier also offers an exquisite journey across Europe. A real treat!

We enjoyed a wonderful evening in the Stucki restaurant. The welcome was very warm and we were led to our beautiful table with a view of the terrace, which invites you to linger in the summer temperatures. The service was very courteous and you felt cared for, seen and understood at all times. The sommelier knew about his products and gave us very good advice. The food was excellent as well as a sensation in terms of appearance and taste. For these many small reasons that make a meal at Stucki something special, the price-performance ratio is also good. We will be happy to come back and let you pamper us. We wish the whole team a wonderful Christmas time.

We visited in February 2023 and had the 9 course Aroma menu. The most memorable dish for me remains the Jerusalem artichoke purée with truffles, which was simple and splendid at the same time, whereas both the fish and meat courses felt a little underwhelming (beef in particular ended up being quite chewy). That’s not to say that any of it was disappointing (well beef maybe), or that the attention to detail and thought that went into every dish wasn’t clear, but perhaps the net result was not an enduring sense of exceptionality. The service was friendly overall if a tad rushed at times, especially if you’re trying to keep up with your wine pairings. It also felt as if the expectation was we’...

"Cheval Blanc is the ultimate classic French fine dining experience in Switzerland. We came here to celebrate my birthday while in Switzerland looking for a 3 Michelin stars experience. Located in the historical Grand Hotel Les Trois Rios. The riverside setting is charming and romantic. You start by a welcome drink at the terrace looking at the Rhine greeted by suited , polite and professional staff. The head chef Peter Knogl came to say hi before we moved to the main dining room and service started. The decor and interior is classy retro French with high ceilings, arches, classic chandeliers, large windows and round tables with candles. Ambience is warm and intimate. Service was top notch and impeccable. Staff were all knowledgeable with refreshing attention to details. Cuisine was modern french with Mediterranean influences, flavors were complex and dynamic. Ingredients were chosen carefully and courses were presented beautifully. I liked all of my courses, highlights of the menu were the Sardine Macaron, Langoustine curry, Red Mullet filet and the French saddle of lamb with mediterranean flavors. Wine pairing was excellent and enhanced every course taste and flavor. Sommelier was very professional and knowledgeable yet intimidating a bit. The French Cheese selections from Maître Antony in Ferrette was aromatic, rich and satisfying, Maître Antony is one of the best in the world that many Michelin starred Chefs get their fine cheeses selection from. The night ended well with a couple of delightful desserts courses, few delectable bites and some velvety chocolate. Overall, we had an elevated fine dining experience that will bring me back if in Basel again."
