I enjoyed my chicken main with dauphinois potatoes and the pie was good, which is the main that my husband had. Good selection of wines and beers. Service was attentive and friendly."

We both loved our meals. My husband had the lamb and red wine pie and I had the blade of beef. They were perfectly cooked, as were the accompanying veg.

Excellent Saturday evening dinner, good value food and wine, real ale choice could be better, but overall a lovely, relaxing pub and just a short stroll from the town centre.

Excellent service , we asked to move tables it wasn’t an issue , they were accommodating , attentive it was a beautiful roast dinner. It was so nice to walk into a pub where the fire was lit the welcome was just as warm.

Excellent service and delicious food! My friend and I opted for the pie and it was the best pie we have ever had! I highly recommend this restaurant, but make sure to make a reservation in advance as it is extremely popular.
