"This place is amazing! We have been visiting the Lake District for a few years and came across the Sun Inn last year. I can only describe it as a good 'old fashioned ' pub but it does also have a superb food menu. My Wife and I had the lasagne (which we had last year as wel) and for dessert the creme brulee. Both were hust heavenly! The atmosphere was lovely and the lady that greeted us and hosted us whilst we were there was fab! Would i go back? Without hesitation given that it was just a really lovely place. I felt it was fairly priced and also value for your money. Have paid more and been given less in some places. Highly recommended. Hadn't visited here for years used to visit often when lived nearby. The sun inn is a hidden gem in the lakes, food was excellent and hosts very attentive and welcoming. Even showed us how to get £5 off our food bill. Will definitely be returning.

we visited the sun inn on the silvester evening, we had 2 homes that left pauline to us in the parking lot overnight. we had a meal in the pub and we also brought in the new year. the meal we had excellent, will definitely return here and would recommend friends, family and home!

Went here tonight after winning a prize on Facebook. What a lovely place and left wondering why we had never been before. The food was excellent especially the bread and butter pudding. Lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff. Thank you for a really enjoyable evening we will definitely be back!
