"If you visit Staufen, the charming little town in the Black Forest, you'd definitely have to pay a visit to this bakerycafe to try their delicious pastries or chocolates. Their Black Forest cake Schwärzwalder Kirschtorte is, at least in my opinion, the best of many...other versions I have tried while in Black Forest! The cake is so freshly made, with the perfect composition of chocolate, cherry liquor, and the cream is deliciously fluffy. A piece of heaven on the plate for me! : This cafebakery has a big sitting room inside, but you can also sit outside when the weather is nice, so you can enjoy your delicious cake and coffee while also enjoying the beautiful cozy town of Staufen. The cafe is often crowded, but we have never had to wait long for the service. The waitresses are also friendly"

"On a warm day in spring, Ascension Day 2016, was a nice day in the Black Forest, we stopped on the way back to the camp site in Staufen for an ice cream. This place was recommended and I intend to agree with the previous positive reviews. The ice-store is located in the main street in Staufen and with warm wetter, you cannot overlook the queue. It took us about about 10-15 minutes. Is it worth waiting? Yes! I tasted the Muskateller wine ice and the pear-gingerbread. The latter taste was special, it was good, but in the end I will not take it again (not my taste). The first one, Muskateller wine ice, I definitely would reconsider. It's a kind of tasteful sorbet ice. Really good. Score: 4 out of 5"

"Food was delicious in itself and the prices are also justified as good quality. Unfortunately, we felt that regular guests or local residents were better treated or preferred. For us there was probably no room outside (guests who came after us without reservation were placed outside without any problems, were also known to the service personnel) others were also preferred and our order was accepted only later."

"as overnight guest in the gasthof belchenblick I enjoyed several meals in the restaurant. I was together with several colleagues who lived elsewhere in the village, business in münstertal, and the belchenblick was the most popular place to dinner. the soup, the haussalat, the spaghetti with pfifferling and the Pfifferling-Crêpe. the wine card is mainly German, and they have a delicious selection of homemade cakes and desserts. the service is relaxed and promotes a relaxed culinary experience. sitting outdoors are excellent when the weather plays. very little English is spoken here, although the owner speaks well and usually serves the dinner."

"Some might describe the interior of this hotel restaurant as a little old fashioned but it was comfortable and the service friendly. What is truly outstanding though is the quality of the food. Prices might seem a little high but everything is included. We didn 't need...starters as we were brought a complimentary little appetiser some very tasty mushroom soup. There was also some very good bread and a tasty dip. Main courses are huge (by English standards) and include generous portions of very good vegetables (which sadly is rare in the UK where everything is extra). I chose to have a small portion of fillet steak which was still very big and tasted fantastic. The potato krapfen are very light. Leave room for desserts as they are really good. For one night forget about your sugar intake, these desserts are really sublime! Seasonal fruits were included in some of the desserts. I noticed at the next table two young boys couldn 't finish their main courses so doggie bags were provided! Our bill for three people including drinks was just under 130 euros it was really worth it and we would go again."
