"We had stayed at a near by boutique hotel and was told that certain restaurants give 10% discount off the bill which is why we chose here. The food was great and the service was relaxed. The discount was £8.52 and the ADDED service charge was also £8.52!! May be circumstantial but I feel as if I was taken for a fool aren't staff at at restaurants supposed to serve the meals to the table and the tip as I know it as, should be discretionary. They'll be charging for the hot water to wash the crockery next or for the toilet paper. I wish we'd gone somewhere else where there is no underhanded deception. I don't know if the owner of the boutique hotel is aware that there isn't actually a discount but if it was me, I wouldn't be comfortable with letting people think there was. Won't get taken advantage of again and won't be going to any of the Everest Restaurant again. Once bitten, I vote with my feet spoilt for choice for places to eat in Hythe. Nobody likes to be taken for granted so I won't be investing and I'm out!!!"

"they can see from the reviews that this restaurant is highly regarded and its call is justified. I confess to being disturbed when I found out it is part of the imperial, but my fears were allied. service was friendly, efficient and helpful. I can not comment a lot from the menu as my partner and I had the same dishes, but we enjoyed the freshly cooked fish that had exactly the right amount of seasoned and fresh crumble. I was resurrected when the waiter informed us that they would run out of monkfish, but they could replace them with white fish. at least this meant that it was not a frozen microshaft meal. another soothing aspekt is the menu itself. usually overlong in Indian restaurants. means that none of them is fresh. the menu here is diverse, but realistic. why not 5 stars. now the decor is a little more extinct and the only memory that they are imperial."

"Ordered via Uber Eats on a very stormy Folkestone evening. I decided to help out HappyCow users and order items that hadn’t been photographed for this page. Especially since I was struggling to choose between Vegan Red and Vegan Green. Also vegan green sounds healthier. And it tastes it too. Lots of green veg but the base sauce is slightly tasteless. So I did regret that decision afterwards. Vegan Meatball Marinara was nice. Vegan cheese had a slightly weird texture but was tasty and it was definitely my favourite dish of the three items I ordered. Vegan Oreo waffle was nice but I’m not really a dessert person. But I’m sure my niece will happy polish off the leftovers"

"The host/manager let the evening down, he had an egotistical attitude, when he was asked about the spice/hotness of the food and which regent of India it came from, he was very dismissive and spoke down, rather than elaborate on his food he served. The serving of the starters and main meal had no system, the starters were plated, however the main meal was placed in serving bowls and placed on our plates which meant mixing the side orders like rice and vegetables difficult to mix in the bowls. We had to ask for serving spons and reorganized our eating arrangement. During and after the main meal, there was no further service, for additional drinks and desert or coffee offered, by 22:15, it was uncomfortable sitting in the restaurant as the management was more interested in closing up. The premises entrance was uninviting with a cycle parked in the hallway abd carpets needed a good clean through the entire premises. Considering there was a lot of room in the restaurant, the tables for four people were very small and cramped. Shame to state the above, because the food was tasty and reasonably priced, and the two young waitress were very pleasant."

"SUPERB !! BRILLIANT FOOD , SERVICE AND AMBEINCE !!Visited this place twice and completely loves this place from all aspects . Ambience Unique Indian Ambience . Bamboo furniture. Lovely tables and bar. Small but very cosy and homely. Staff will quickly come and greet you. Food The menu is the most unique in the world I think. Masala pan soda think is my favourite, Bombay thali , South Indian thali , chicken chettinad are amazing of the many other items in the menu. Not a huge list of dreadful never heard in india items like many other pseudo Indian restaurants have , they have a finely selected dishes to please your appetite. Got chance to speak to the chef and owner and both are lovely. Over all a GREAT Experience. Highly recommended!!"
