"I went to Terra for dinner on a hot Saturday night in July and went back for lunch on Sunday (they are closed on Sunday evenings and on Mondays). It was nice to chat to the owner Giuseppe Paglia in Italian and to some of...the Italian staff and the service was good. On the Saturday night I was stuck inside as I hadn't thought to specifically ask for a table outside when I called to reserve a table and it would have been nice to have been asked if I wanted to sit outside instead of arriving and being told I hadn't asked to sit outside and since they have two services there was no chance of getting a table on the terrace. I started with octopus with algae in a sesame and potato sauce for which I didn't think was anything special then I had conchiglioni alla norma for which I'd seen someone next to me eating and it was good but you have to ask for extra parmesan cheese which they will grate onto your pasta, I prefer to have a little dish to serve myself. The cheapest bottle of Italian wine was which I found expensive for Chartres. A glass of prosecco was which was more reasonable. On the Sunday I ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio for I started with tuna tartare in broth with algae for The broth was cold instead of warm and there were too many algae. Had tagliolini with truffles for and had to ask for extra parmesan to be grated on it. Overall everything was fine and I would go back but I would also look at other restaurants especially the one star Michelin restaurant Le Georges at the Monarque. I had dinner at their brasserie La Cour which was very good. If you're staying at the Mercure (better rooms) or the Monarque next door (nice restaurants and bar), just turn right out of the front door and walk up the road for minutes. If you want a table outside in the summer then make sure you reserve it ahead of time."

We went to Terra for my mother's birthday with two children. The service was great, the waiter very attentive to every little details, our children had their pasta before all of us. The food was creative, freshly prepared, and delicious. From beginning to end, we...felt pampered. Thank you for a great evening.

From the decor to the chef's innovation, this farm to plate hidden jewel has the potential to compete with some of the greats. Though it was only our first visit since they opened a few months ago, I can honestly say that this is the best restaurant in the entire Centre region far surpassing the 1 star Michelin "George" at the Grand Monarch and at a quarter of the price.

From the ambience to the food, everything was superb. We had the beef tartare and the deep fried mozzarella balls for starters as well as spaghetti Giuseppe made with fresh tomatoes grown on Mount Vesuvius. The steak with 15 year old aged balsamic vinegar was a delight and the pairing with wine from Puglia was magnifico. The dessert made lovingly by chef Lisa was the cherry on the top. We will be back soon. Best restaurant I have been to in chartres.

I am not sure whether I am a fantastic evaluation of the quality of the ingredients, the creativity of the delicate cuisine of the chef, the friendliness of the staff or the reasonable price for this quality. it's a bit of everything. Just amazing!. I even had the opportunity to discuss with the chef who visited me his ripening stock (where he runs his exquisite meat and high quality thun fish for weeks) and I even explained how he cooks it. grazie mille!!!

this is an amazing restaurant for the service and the incredible Italian cuisine. we believe that the city chartres is very happy to have such a gourmet star in their beautiful city. last night I had an incredible starter that had an aubergine melt in. your mouth was. the chef of cuisine united dinge in this court, which brought straight stars to my eyes. wow. also I had the pasta with truffles that was beyond believe. if they have to treat themselves terra in chartres.

Mamma Mia! What a wonderful restaurant. We were quite sceptical about visiting an Italian restaurant on our trip to France but we decided to give it a try. This eventually became one the best dining experience we ever had. Food was sumptuous, generous and beautifully...plated. Quality of the ingredients was inexplicably fresh and toothsome! What really makes this place an unforgettable experience is the team. All team, not only service, are making you feel utmost welcome and their lightness is transforming a table talk into an elation. We are looking forward to coming back soon.

What a rare gem and arguably the best restaurant in Chartres, France. From rustic plates to generous portions of signature gastronomic Italian cuisine, all of Chef Giuseppe's creations are creatively and deliciously made. We absolutely loved our meals there (yes we returned a few times while visiting) and would highly recommend it to locals as well as tourists. We loved the clean, comfortable atmosphere and how spacious it was inside - it can take up to 70 people which is probably perfect for a wedding venue too.
