"This was our last evening in London and we called for an early evening meal before getting our train home Very smart foyer with friendly helpfully staff. The concierge stored our suitcases so we could be more comfortable. The staff were pleasant and attentive. I had the £20.00 set menu. My partner chose from the regular menu My starter was a huge Quinoa sweet potato and goats cheese salad, more like a main dish than a starter. My main was a vegetable lasagne with garlic bread once again a well prepared and presented dish The deal included a glass of wine. Sadly, because I ate such an enormous salad I was unable to finish the main course !"

A nice restaurant with good service and moderate pricing relative to the location . The Cod is excellent as is the stir fry . Small seating area. Good option for the hotel guests .

The restaurant was peaceful and had a great menu. The staff was well-informed about gluten-free options. Although the service was a bit slow, the food was tasty and reasonably priced. View menu

Good hotel with good value for money in London, the location of the hotel os very good as it was central, the AC was not working at night and the receptionist could not do anything, we had to spend the hole night without ac in the summer and the window did not open.

We ate there on a Thursday Evening, my wife and son. The menu (which changes daily) had a nice variety of appetizing choices, including salads, soups, seafood and desserts. I had leek and potato soup, grilled salmon, glass of red wine and a cappuccino and bakewell tart for dessert. It happened to be my birthday and my wife had quietly told the staff so my slice of bakewell tart had a candle and they sang happy birthday. Ahh! View menu

The hotel we stayed in was directly across the street from the Blakemore and we dined 2 times at the Terrace Restaurant. The food was very good, I enjoyed a wonderful Chicken Kiev, the burger and fish chips looked great too. We also enjoyed afternoon tea and it was quite enjoyable. The service is slow so don't be in a hurry. We waited over 1/2 an hour for tea although we had pre-booked so they knew we were coming. The service staff was very nice and helpful. I would dine there again if given the opportunity.

Let's start with the positive aspects. The food was definitely delicious, with a great mix of flavors and beautifully presented. However, here comes the major issue - the wait time was simply not worth it. It took at least an hour to receive our food, and even with just two dishes ordered, the service was unable to bring them out at the same time. The first diner had already finished their meal before the second one received theirs. Additionally, it shouldn't take 30 minutes to serve ice cream for dessert. Overall, the service was poorly organized, with several tables waiting despite the restaurant not being overly crowded.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
