Great food, very authentic Thai. Best Som Tom papaya salad in the UK. Friendly service and so accommodating. Thank you O and the rest of the friendly staff at Thai Boran!! Will visit again, if back in Derby!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly, and they accommodated my gluten intolerance without any issues. They also had a clear list of allergens for me to review.

I ordered online, thankfully I had a promo code and save some money, anyway prices quite high for this portions. Tom yum spicy soup on the pic I attached was very poor, not spicy at all, cabbage brew, I am very disappointed. They add extra prawn crackers 6 or 7 pieces. View menu

Really nice food, we had the set menu and everything was really good. We asked for the food spice and its was really spicy and very tasty! If your not ready for spice dont have it thai spicy but the staff did make it clear it would be spicy. The tamarind duck was exceptional. Def go back, they do add a service charge of 10% to your bill but i would have tipped them anyway, the staff were great. We couldnt finish the food and the staff had no issues putting it in a takeaway tub

Great place to eat and relax, the food was amazing and the staff so friendly. Prices are in my opinion reasonable and affordable, food is always freshly cooked no matter what you choose which makes for good eating in my eyes. I don’t eat anything too hot, and here you can choose and adjust how hot you have your food as not to be too spicy I’d highly recommend this restaurant and give a 5 star rating on all aspects from start to finish. I won’t hesitate to return in the future

This wasn’t my first trip here , but the restaurant deserves a glowing review! The atmosphere here is so welcoming and the staff couldn’t be anymore friendly . Our food came out fresh hot , and even though the restaurant was busy we didn’t have to wait long . We felt so welcome and enjoyed the culture that surrounded us . The food tasted absolutely beautiful! I was the only vegetarian but there was plenty for me to choose from . We all enjoyed and meals and pudding and cake away very happy . View menu

We found the food very poor quality, especially at the price paid. It is not as good as it used to be when in the premises further up Green Lane and even a year ago at lunch time it was better. We had green curry but not much flavour, just a green sauce with bean shoots. No fresh coriander, aubergine or onion. The rice was very stodgy. Pina colada mocktail smelled very strange and had a hint of cheese. Very expensive for what we got discount given for paying cash but a similar sized service charge applied. We won't be eating here in future and the staff will understand why.

I rang and ordered takeout from this restaurant. I was told it would be ready in 60 minutes, which I assumed meant the food would be cooked to order. However, when I arrived to pick up my order, I was told it would be another 10 minutes. 40 minutes later, my order finally arrived. I was asked to check the bill to ensure all items were there, and according to the bill, everything was accounted for. However, when I got home and unpacked the meal, one main course was missing even though I had been charged for it. I tried calling to complain, but after multiple tries, the phone was answered and then promptly hung up without addressing my issue.

This was my second visit to Thai Boran. I wasn't overwhelmed during my first visit although I did like the decor and displays. I found the food a bit mediocre and nothing too special. I decided to visit again to give the place the benefit of doubt. The food was a lot better and the Thai green curry was tasty enough. However. I was absolutely disgusting to find on receiving the bill I was charged £9 for 2 pints of squash and soda! £4.50 a pint for lime and soda! That is nothing more than an absolutely disgusting rip off!
