Excellent roast dinner just like a home cooked one , great improvement from a year ago. Strongly recommend a visit if you like a large roast,6veg , yorkshire and choice of meats Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We were on a hike in the great October weather and popped in for one and ended up having three. Nice garden if the weather is good. Was busy as it was a Sunday lunchtime, didn't have food but it looked very nice. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 View menu

So have been here many times as it is a great substitute for going into town, lots of different menus to choose from plus some local drinks and other things to have. Great to be able to walk in and get something most days of the week that this is open. Would definitely come back at some point in the near future.

Booked for lunch after a mornings walk [31/10] and I have to say I was very impressed with the pub, staff and the lunch. Food was excellent [Sausage Mash] with the sausages being super tasty. Washed down with a Harvey's Best, what more could you ask for. Overall, an excellent pub and great VFM IMHO. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We were very impressed big table for supper last night with four adults and two kids. The pub interior and garden are gorgeous, food was lovely big unpretentious delicious plates of magic cooked with heart and flair service was great too slick and friendly (they missed a component i.e trick or two so it wasn't quite perfect between them and kitchen but near enough) they put a live band on and it wasn't the right audience for them with everyone sitting and eating, they were FAR too loud and should have played acoustically Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2 View menu
