We were disappointed for the second time with our Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The food was bland and lacked flavor. We decided to give it another chance, but we have ultimately decided that we will not be returning again.

Food was hot and tasty. My pork lop chop was very tasty but could have done with more sauce, as with the mash it was all a bit dry. Also the green beans were rather 'al dente '! for my taste. My other half likes them like this however, so I guess it is just a matter of taste.

Good service and attentive front of the house staff, both well-trained decor very nice food was expensive and not particularly unforgettable. Flinted package of white bread (e.g. Kingsmill) with the shells was not very good. Burger was very small. All parts were on the small side.

We’re a repeat customer and the Angel Hotel never disappoints. The food was excellent, the service always excellent and we sat in the bay window of the main restaurant which was lovely. Although busy, it felt relaxed and we came away thinking it had been perfect for Mum on Mothers Day. Many thanks
