"We made a table reservation for wife's birthday. When we got there we couldn't find a table with our name plaque, it was a few minutes before we were approached and directed to the next free table. It was not reserved, was not very clean, no candle, no salt. It would be nice to come to a nicely prepped table especially that we booked it for special occasion. It was our first visit it would be beneficial to receive some sort of instruction from the staff who sat us down, as to if order by the bar or if we will be served, so we had to find out ourselves. The food was tasty and good, delivered promptly.The garden is fantastic. Staff kind and was working hard. The only problem was the garden is not fenced off and adjacent to the car park, so we had our hands full having to watch after out boy rather than relax in our seats..."

"While staying nearby for a few days, we received a recommendation to dine at The Swan. Despite the rainy weather, we booked a table for lunch on Sunday and went for a scenic walk from Pershore to work up an appetite. The pub was cozy and inviting, as were the staff. Even though we were in wellies and a bit damp, we were welcomed into the restaurant where we dried off and enjoyed a fantastic lunch. The place was packed, which is no surprise given the delicious food and excellent service. The outdoor garden booths looked charming, even though they were empty that day. I ordered the large fish and chips, which was perfectly cooked and not greasy, while my companion enjoyed the tasty mixed grill. The chocolate mousse dessert was rich and satisfying, especially the accompanying shortbread biscuit. We had a great meal and will definitely return if we are in the area again. Price range per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Recently visited for the 1st time to celebrate our 14th anniversary together. Everything about our experience was amazing, everyone was kind and attentive, food was absolutely out of this world (my partner especially loved the home made bread) non of that annoying asking how the meal was right in the middle of a mouthful which was great . Well priced , made me a wonderful mocktail .Will definitely visit again. Service: Dine in"

"The meal looked good I had all 3 meats gammon, turkey , beef ,the beef joint was sirlion after speaking to the chief. He reckoned the sirloin was the best joint for large numbers to eat as a roast dinner. A good third of this beef was grisle It was hard to cut and was hard to find a prime piece of meat. The new potatoes also looked nice and covered in herbs spices they was hard and tasted terribly . When I cook beef in the slow cooker for 8 9 HOURS TOP side you can eat it with a spoon. The chief told us he never eats roast dinners I feel sure this is where the problem starts . I WOULD never let this guy cook more than a breakfast fearing he wud get this wrong."

"We turned up mid lunch service with 2 hungry children and a dog. The car park was packed yet we still decided to give it a go and try our luck. When I walked in it was packed and I spoke to an incredibly polite young lady at the door who stopped what she was doing to greet me and happily said we could have a table in the garden which was perfect for us with the dog. Came in to get some drinks and order our food and again despite them all being busy and rushed off their feet the service was friendly and polite. The lady serving us advised about the wait of about half an hour food, so I paid and took our seats in the garden. I was slightly worried about the 30 minute wait as I had two hungry children yet after only about 15/20 mins we were told we could get our food. Well what can I say about the food..I would have waited an hour for it. A beautiful piece of beef, more vegetables than you could ask for and gravy. This was just what was needed after a morning of walking in the Gloucestershire countryside. Great service and great food and a very reasonable price as well. Can’t wait to go back."
