Very good place to have a lovely food. Has very good for to have outdoor food as well. Have live music as well.

Amazing food we all loved it friendly staff with a relaxed happy atmosphere and a look at the home grown fruit, veg and herbs out the back so impressive, cannot wait to go again

We absolutely loved the food! The staff were friendly, creating a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. We were also impressed by the homegrown fruits, vegetables, and herbs in the backyard. We can't wait to go back!

Food very good well cooked presented nicely. Service good polite and welcoming. Pavlova pudding was large !! Service charge is added to bill so be aware. Not the cheapest but meals of a good standard and lovely service Will visit again no hesitation would recommend

We had a family meal with each of us having a different choice. I had Roast Beef, Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes on a plate that did not have room for any vegetables, a side dish with plenty of well cooked vegetables, the meat was tender and tasty and everything else was really good. We were all enjoyed our meals and the staff were friendly and attentive. View menu

It was our second visit to this lovely pub on the way back from seaside. Service food top class The best thing is their garden facilities which makes an experience eating with kids hassle free. Great garden complimentary games kept our little ones occupied for 3h ! Bliss ! We will definitely be back again recommending to our Friends Family. Thank you Bat Ball Team x

I go everywhere in a wheelchair, I found it easy to enter the Bat and Ball. The staff are all 5 star. One moved two stools from under a table near the door to make room for my wheelchair, this type of service continued the whole of our visit. They were very busy but our meals were served very quickly. The food was excellent and very good value. A very enjoyable visit and next time we are in Downton we will be sure to call again. Our sincere thanks to all the staff.

the other day sat in the beautiful garden. my sister I chose from the main menu, 2 courses for £9.95 both had whitebait, which came with beautiful salat garnish some beautiful fresh brotbutter. beautifully boiled presented. sue chose the shepherds pie i the ham, egg chips drown. nice large, shocked chips, not these terrible thin pommes! very nice meal we enjoyed very much. nothing was too much annoyed for the staff that was nice. Beautiful little touch was the small pot of sweetness that came with the hot drinks. they are here before will certainly be back to everyone would recommend. View menu
