"We stayed in room 1 whilst walking the Avon Valley Way and had a warm, friendly welcome from every single member of staff. Our evening meal was excellent I had the crab cakes starter with a dish of cooked veg, and my friend chose the baked haddock dish. Lots to choose from on the menu. We shared a piece of trillionaire’s shortbread with tiramisu ice cream. In the morning, a lovely lady served us a delicious breakfast. We were really well looked after, but our room was depressing and very tired. The sink had a really bad crack/smash in it, the water pressure on the shower was poor and the decor awful. So sadly I can’t give The Ship the 5 stars it could easily earn if the rooms were freshened up and better maintained."

I enjoyed a delicious Sunday Roast with lots of vegetables and roast potatoes for a great value. I will be returning for sure.

Great night, service was so good and a big thank you. Food was excellent, staff also. We even made a friend, staying over from USA.

Lovely pub meal although service was a bit disorganised but they were taking the coronavirus guidance seriously. Would definitely go back.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic and very generous in portion size. The dishes are really delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. I will definitely be back for a second visit after such a great first experience.

We visited 'The Ship Inn ' for a lunch . The staff were very friendly . We have a very large dog , who takes up a lot of floor space , but they were happy to accommodate her . The food we ordered was excellent , thoroughly enjoyed by my partner and myself .

During our stay in the area, we decided to have Sunday lunch at The Ship. We both opted for the Steak and Kidney Pudding, which was not only delicious but also came with a generous serving of vegetables. The price was very reasonable, and we were happy to support this local establishment. View menu

We arrived for a weekend away and we’re looking for some dinner at 8pm, the first out we went to and stopped serving and sent us elsewhere (not here) but we saw The Ship Inn and decided to see if they were still serving food! I am so pleased we did, the food was delicious and the staff could not have been more pleasant and set on making sure we had a lovely experience! I had the Louisiana Burger from the special menu and my husband had the Fish Pie which he said was the best one he has had yet, interesting use of potatoes on top rather than mash! Highly recommend, thanks so much!

First off, we interacted with four different staff during our dinner, bed and breakfast and all were exceptional. All were really keen to deliver the best experience. The food (dinner and breakfast) was tasty, hot and fresh which is all you really want. The bedroom was basic and perhaps a bit tired, but extremely clean. As a travelling cyclist, nothing is more important than an extremely safe place to leave your bike not only is it an extremely expensive thing, but it’s also your pride and joy and your only means of your onward travel and this place is better than any other as we stored them in the bar overnight!
